Ask the Experts / Edit the Jumping Fountains?

Has anyone ever edited the jumping fountains before? Is it possible to make the water colorable?... or at least permanently change the color?

Its an special option in the object editor, so if you wanted to make them colorable, you would have to re-create the scenery item as a small scenery object instead of path then give it an animation of the water.

Ive never seen it before, but it is possible.

Yeah, I looked at it in the Object Editor, but couldn't figure out a simple option. Completely recreating it sounds like a lot of work. :(

Actually its not that hard, just take screenshots for every frame in rct2, it will take some time to get all of them. Then just copy-paste the frames for the animation.

You could just extract the frames from the jumping fountain .dat file, whatever it's named

Yes, that would be the way to do it. I wouldn't recommend taking screenshots - you'd lose the x/y offsets and have to put them back manually, plus you lose any recolorable areas.

Then you re-color them, its easy. I have no idea how to extract the frames from the .dat.
