curious how this works with 5 teams? don't we need an even number? forgive my ignorance

There's no bracket. If there is an explosion of sign-ups today, I'm personally not opposed to adding a sixth team. But we're looking at teams of about 9 players, with about 4 LL players each. I think that is good.

Yes. The moment a bracket is made, there are obligations and it kind of affects the whole casual thing.

Draft

 

All five captains have agreed on a time for the draft! Unlike the H2H8/8 draft, it will be a live event.

 

 

The draft will be held on the NE Discord server.

Still need my yearly release so count me in! Only available for rounds 4/5 but from what I've read signing up is still the way to go. As I've only done scenario play in LL I sign up as...

Unlikely that i'll do a whole map, but I should have time to help finish a park. It'll honestly also depend on my housing situation. If I move, I'll have plenty of time for chore-work to finish up several parks. Either way, I'm really active for ideation and feedback

Decided I’m ready to fuck you guys up — RCT2 for me, duh.

Simple question to the rules:

It reads parks cannot be larger than 60x60.

Does this relate to 3600 tiles or maximum edge length of 60? 

The black tiles were released in 2005 (see GCC) and I recall some non-square parks.

I've got no idea how much I'll actually be able to build (Could be a lot, could be nothing) and I can't really commit to specific projects very far ahead. And my internet is absolutely terrible with almost no ability to upload and is often out completely. So I'd not be great for for collab parks as passing files back and forth repeatedly would be difficult to impossible. Basically I'd be an extra solo player to add at the end of the draft to maybe send a park or two.

I think 3600 tiles is fine! No one is going to make a problem over the rules, as long as you stay in the spirit of the contest. Same applies to objects. I think it's totally fine to build a park that's 90% ~2005 objects, but with minor modern additions, b&m supports (actually released in 2006 anyway), or a palette. I think it'll be kind of interesting to see 2005 building style, but with the traditional textures replaced with later inventions.
