So I want to get back into the game and I've been gone for a short while. What should I look at what should I download what should I read/watch? Any tips are welcome!

I'd suggest looking at every park from H2H9. Amazing showcase of what the RCT2 meta has evolved into.

CP6 has a good number of tutorials for OpenRCT2 hacking on youtube: https://www.youtube....3xwucbyL-UETybx

Would be a good place to start I reckon

Here's another good video on OpenRCT2 plugins, which are sorta like trainers for vanilla RCT but are more specific in function:

OpenRCT is pretty much the only way to build nowadays, and it comes with many things that make your life easier

    - Built in cheats/hacks menu

    - Tile inspector (something inbetween codex and map object manipulation, edit map data per tile)

    - Plugins (kind of like built in trainers, just a .js file you put in the 'plugin' folder)

    - A copy paste tool (Scenery manager, a plugin)

    - Multiplayer (rarely used, but super powerful)

    - New coaster types

    - Edit object selection in game, no more Dimport/parkdat/scenario editor

    - All limits on objects and map data and so on vastly increased

    - Uhh surely there's more

Other than H2H9, the Grand Tour contest shifted the meta in 2020:
