I agree completely with this, but didn't have the balls to say it for the fear of being lynched.

Although, the one thing I do like about LL more so than either of it's counterparts is it's Wooden Coaster. Wooden Coasters look their best in LL for some reason.

The lack of banked inclines doesn't look good though. You could build a LL woody in rct2 if you wanted.Just don't use some of the added features

I think they changed some of the images in RCT2. Banked turns for example look different.

That's one of the reasons why I like them actually, it gives it more charm imo.

Wow 3 pages, albeit not on the subject of my parks but it doesn't matter because the discussion they've bought up is pretty interesting.

RRP there is one phrase in your paragraph that sticks out to me:

LL parks will always look like LL parks whereas in rct2 you can build whatever you like exactly how you want it to look.

I agree with this, but in the opposite way if that makes sense. LL parks will always look like LL parks. That's part of their charm, thats what makes them unique, the fact that you cant make it look absolutely flawless.

RCT2 is too 'perfect'. As you said, you can build whatever you like exactly how you want it to look. I can see how that is fun to some people but surely the fact that there is no limitations surely doesnt always give a sense of achievement. Like NSCO parks, the beauty is making it look incredible within the limitations. Like Liampie said, it's charm is it's 'rough' look.

it's a matter of preference, at the end of the day.

    ^yeah but it's nice to see/hear people's view points.

Thats what i mean though, theres only so many ways you can work with a small set of objects before you have to explain what something is to someone. I know people now understand that when theres a grave stone/barrel on a roof its supposed to be a chimney and when theres a fence raised up with a gap in its supposed to be a window. This is only because the same old trick are used over and over (which isnt creative at all). It doesn't however fix the fact that these objects look nothing like what they are supposed to resemble. Its like someone trying to build a stone wall out of bricks, why don't you just build the wall out of stone the first place?
I dont think LL looks rough either, it looks very basic and almost painting by numbers since you've got so little choice. You might aswell paint all the walls wood and say each area is different as one building is supposed to be a western wooden barn, one a swedish log cabin and the other etc

rct is serious business for sure but you're really obtuse when it comes to this debate, RRP

first off, talking about parks you built around.... 5...6...7+?? years ago and comparing them to LL parks today as if there is some connection is ridiculous. That's like comparing Wormwood to rct2 parks today. And I'm sorry but rct2 is not so incredibly unlimited as you make it out to be. You can certainly detail to a finer point but to suggest that importing in a traffic light, shrub, statue or wall object to suit your needs is somehow more creative than stacking fences in LL to create an effect is also silly.

I really don't know why you have this condescending attitude, like you're comparing AutoCAD to charcoal on a a cave wall and the difference is just so obvious, every time you pop up in a LL or NCS topic. To me that's the last thing someone wants to hear mostly because it's all personal preference anyway.

And I don't quite follow your wall analogy because in both cases you end up with a perfectly good wall, which flies in the face of one or the other being less fulfilling :<img src=:' /> I do agree about ride design. rct2 does add some nice additions but I've seen rides in both games that were beautiful and am still missing some things from both games (like a 45 degree sloped turn)

    My views:
rct2= expanded tool set (and with custom objects it is always expanding)
LL= more control over a smaller tool set (via codex)
