Vertical Sprint

Architecture generally is an art form, not meant to be competitive. But it can be, such as in the early twentieth century, when in the United States a race for the tallest building in the world emerged with big companies trying to outdo each other with deception and innovation. Building as tall as you can is not what the Vertical Sprint is about, however. We're asking you to pay tribute to this skyscraper race by build something very tall on a short notice.

Objective: build a single skyscraper of any kind.

Rules: The maximum map size is 20 by 20 tiles. Surroundings for the skyscraper are allowed, but the skyscraper should be focal point of your entry.

Deadline: June 30th

2nd place: 4 points
3rd place: 3 points
4th place: 2 points
5th place: 1 point

Voting

Voting Guidelines

You are expected to view all entries and cast a fair vote. It is considered very poor comradeship to vote with bias. We also ask you not to vote unless you've viewed all entries in the game. Aside from the general quality of the entries, you're also supposed to take into account how well each entry meets this discipline's objective as described above.

We are closing polls after ~3 days. Entries on a tie receive the same amount of points. There won't be any waiting for a decisive vote. Votes are also public this time to counter cheating.

There are two polls; one for your favourite entry, one for your second favourite. Votes in the former poll will weigh twice as much.

Do whatever you want, as long as you meet the requirements and don't alienate the viewer (at your own risk). Skyscrapers in a theme park setting are definitely not unthinkable

Is it acceptable to set the map size larger than 20x20 and then black tile the rest of it? The reason is because you can't scroll to see the top of tall structures at full zoom when the map size is small.
