General Chat / Updates about... me.

This is kind of a thread of "can you believe it?" I joined NE quite a few years ago, sometime in 2009 if memory serves.

I quickly became the most hated "unintentional troll" and "little kid" on this site, even being banned for a few months sometime around 2010-2011 IIRC (frankly, I'm surprised the admins put up with me for long before giving me the temporary boot.) It didn't help that my parks were turds thrown together in a few hours with little effort, and just got worse as they went on. Thus, the name "GigaG" has become infamous among longtime NE members.

OK, so I just wanted to point something out. I just graduated high school today with highest honors, 7th in a class of 119. (Yes, I was THAT young when I joined NE.) I also skipped a grade a while ago (not long after I joined NE, in fact.)

I've never been stupid, but I've always been socially awkward, and that showed in me posting ramblings about Windows and other random topics. Of course, I've improved since then - just looking at some of the crap I posted over 5 years ago makes me cringe. I apologize for all the grief I caused the site at the time.

So am I leaving? No. But I'm probably going to just follow the pattern of going on and off occasionally, rarely posting. That's what I've done for the past 3-4 years or so. I just felt like posting an update about myself to-

    1. Set the record straight on my "stupidity."

    2. Apologize for my extreme awkwardness and immaturity.

    That's all.

Ahh, the internet can bring many great things.  But having exact records of ones behavior in the 10-15 range is not one of them.  Everyone had their fair share of cringe moments when thinking and looking back at their behavior as a younger self.

Very true gforce. I'm only 16 and I always cringe after reading my comments and critics. Before I post it I feel all smart and helpful. Then post it and see all the big words used wrong, spelling and punctuation mistakes, and just plain stupidity. (Totally off topic)

As for you Giga everybody goes through phases like that and we all know it, maybe not in the heat of the moment, but after a little we realize it. I wasn't around when you were but I'd like to say welcome back. Always nice to see some "fresh" faces around.

This post of you GigaG is what I believed in back in the day. Happy to see it now.

No need to apologise, G Force is right. I'm not surprised you end up being a good guy and I'm always happy to see you around the site.

Those transitional stages in our life always suck. Well, good to have you back; we've all had cringe-worthy posts. Heck, I'm the last person that should call another's post's cringeworthy.

You've shown a lot of cool looking hacks. Hopefully you've got enough time in college to meld them into something awesome and post them.

    Slightly off-topic...

That's kind of why I like LL - Codex makes a lot of hacks easy that are harder in RCT2. In RCT2, they require either hex editing or the less user-friendly MoM in 8Cars. Even hex editing is easier with Codex - you can select the tile graphically!

Thanks for the warm welcome back! I still ramble a bit in forum posts, but I feel like I'm not as impulsive and cringe-worthy as I was a few years ago.

This makes me think about to the time when I hated pacificoaster because my adolescence didn't allow for criticism.
