Congratulations to Old Red who after a disappointing bridge entry comes back and shows everyone why he's one of the most fascinating parkmakers on the site. Known throughout New Element as one of the most creative and original parkmakers here (and probably the most unorthodox), most of his work is very hit or miss. Well in a round that suited him perfectly, he put together a clever 'dark comedy' to impress me with, really grasping the concept of the round. Congratulations Old Red and I'm sure we'll have one completely surprising, original PT2 final to see from you...can't wait to see that!

Get Lost!: A Dark Comedy by Old Red

Thanks to the other three entries this round, picking it up from our two weeks straight of only two entries. Surprisingly...trav didn't answer this one . Levis did again though with a very...um, original? entry that was probably the funniest slapstick entry of the round, but the lack of a real ride (except an unnamed roller coaster) held it back to second place. Still the quarter tile blocks were cause enough for some laughs...and there were actually pretty cleverly done as well...definitely making a case for a Bonus Spot for Levis. BigFoot came in third place with a pretty self explanatory custom cow...which was cool but not quite funny or fresh enough to jump into the top 2. Finally, tracidEdge probably exhibited the greatest skill level of all entries...but completely missed the concept of this round, hence the last place entry. Thanks to all of those who entered though, and next week should be very interesting with the free for all bonus round.

Man, that just warms my heart. I've been an Old Red fan since the Desert Valley Golf Club. I wish I could landscape half as well.

I can't wait to check these all out, but for now I must wait.

uhh...is it me or was there no humor in old red's park? levis's on the other hand i thought was great. the pool, the volleyball, the changing rooms, everything i thought was really original and was pulled off well. i thought his should have won but i didnt see the other two entrys since i dont have LL and the other was in a .rar format so im not downloading it.

Congrats Old Red. I'm real anxious to see what you can make in the final round. Mine was meant to be a satire, or something. But I suck at those .

I didnt see really that much humor in any of these parks really so its hard to judge really which, Levis's or Old Red's. Both were very well done in my opinion. My list would go:

1. Levis- Very good detail work and all, pulled everything nicely, this gives it a slight edge of Old Reds

2. Old Red- Quality work yes, but still the base block detail and quality in Levis gives it the slight advantage

3-4. tracidEdges-bigfoots- Cant really judge these to simply because i havent seen bigfoots, im giving the other 2 the benefit of the doubt.

Well, I honestly didnt expect anyone to take this round seriously, I thought a custom cow sculpture would be enough lol. Nice job Old Red, and Levis too, I enjoyed your entries. Maybe the next Pro Tour we can have a sculpture round .

Wow Old Red, that was amazing. It would be my dream to go to that place in reality. It must have taken you forever to build that. I loved how you made the maze go everywhere.. like underground, into caves, over water. It was just so cool to discover all of the little details you added throighout.

Levis' was ok, not really my sense of humor. Some amazing quarter block work, but other than that it was kind of bare. You kind of went from random idea to the next and I didn't think the whole thing really came together on the whole. I did however, love how you made the coaster go up and down the arms and legs on the one structure, that was cool. Maybe if you had some better landscaping or foliage it would help.

Nice round. Kumba, you disappoint.

I didn't find old red's ride the least bit funny. It's a big maze and the whole point is to get lost. ha ha. He's got parkmaking skills, but the ride just isn't funny in the least.

Great park Old Red!

I don't understand why people don't get the humor. It's a dark comedy. I guess people don't have that cruel sense of humor where you watch all the peeps getting fuming mad. Just watch the park for awhile...I think its hysterical, but then I'm easily amused I guess.

As for the other entries though, what is funny? The parks themselves were very creative and well done, but this was for the funniest round.

Seriously...Old Red's was the only funny one. I dont think most people who have replied understand the concept of a dark comedy...but I thought his was the only one that really was a creative funny park.

Is there some kind of deeper humor besides "Haha watch the peeps never find their way out and get really mad" that I'm missing? I mean. That would be funny if the peeps took out their anger by, say, getting into knifefights with the first other peep they see. Or if they burned down hedges to get out. But RCT peeps don't do that. So RCT peeps being angry isn't really funny.

I thought it was great... Funny how easy the maze actually is. You'd think some of the peeps would turn right out of the entrance. But it must have taken ages to build this and is really impressive with the overall scope of the project. I found it funny... in an evil sort of way, I guess.

YES! I love Old Red parks. He is the best at landscaping in RCT; no one I've seen, Mala, anyone, is as good as he is with landscaping.

I think Red's one because he executed his idea the best. The dark comedy with the maze was brilliant for a competition like this and he deserved the win just for the best entry for this type of a situation. The landscaping was excellent, and didn't dissapoint.

I can't wait to see what you throw together in the final round. You have some serious potential, especially with those landscaping abilities -- but you just need to work on refining your archy a bit to keep it up with the rest, though it isn't bad either.

This is true. That's actually the first thing I checked. I figured maybe he did something predictable and made a maze with no way out.

If nothing else, it shows how amusingly awful the AI is in this game.

Nice round, I agree with the winner for sure that maze was out of this world, however it only got a snigger out of me, not very funny, but the name was clever. Levis's was funny, sexy blockwork I could not open bigfoots, and triacid's was kinda boreing and very unfinished, but I did like that just about every sign, shop and track archy part had something funny or rude on it, remined me of all the crap I put on the extra roots in EV

Here's hopeing for a monster bonus round, then us Parkmakerz will beat you life-less in the finals

The playboy entry definitely should have won.

Whether it's this sort of "dark" humor, or "teen" humor, to blatantly put them in boxes, shouldn't really matter, as they're both sorts of humor that not everyone is going to find funny. When you look at execution, you got this huge landscape of trees and uglyness, versus beautiful women made out of quarter tile blocks. No use arguing, but jesus irsi!
