Rugged Range: The Last Ride by Old Red
Sometimes you just know almost exactly what you're going to get from a participant...and sometimes you get thrown a curveball for better or worse (ie: Country Squire and Three Villages). In a contest where parkmakers tried more unique ideas then ever before, I just wished that one of the most creative of them all, Old Red...tried something a bit outside his usual style. A step up compared to most of his past work in terms of actual quality, the eye-popping ideas of "The Cave", the lightning-rod park, or "Get Lost!: A Dark Comedy" were unfortunately absent. Still, you knew that the landscaping would be nothing short of brilliant, which it was, but unfortunately that's all the park really had going for it in my opinion. Sure the dueling wooden coasters were pretty enjoyable despite very awkward layouts, the go-kart track was a great idea, and the forest fire was a nice (albeit small) touch, but the park just didn't have anything to really grab me and push it up to the upper echelon entries of the competition. The architecture was much improved, but even with all the vast improvements to Old Red's parkmaking ability, the extreme over-treeing, lack of any color at all, and drab-nature of the park anchored it in second to last.
My fav part was the "R. R. Rally: Observation Deck" great use of building blocks to make such a huge struckure. I bet you were pissed not to have Tom's full tile land blocks, but you did very well with the 1/4 ones. I think you exacute elements of nature better then anyone around here and those waterfalls are proof as were the forest fires. The deul was great, strange in parts, but the timing was ok and they finished well. The go-karts were great, but wow were some parts high up, turn to wide and your dead. I think the only part I did not like was the tall wooden rooves in black and dark brown, just way to dark, very ugly looking imo, tho I have seen others do it (Phatage
Nice work, I hope to see more stuff from you, but please try some more risky ideas.

missing object.
We might have a double object name here...
From the screens, the landscaping looks brilliant (no suprise). But, the rest of it looks monotonous, and some parts of the woodie's layout look a little weak too.

Aside from the very unorthodox woodie duelers (nice stats btw), the somewhat bleek atmosphere and lack of buildings, this was quite enjoyable. I loved the forest fires. However, the downfalls of this park really did give it the appropriate ranking. As usual Old Red, you pulled off some magnificent landscaping with glorious waterfalls that had a really good "outdoorsy" feel to it. The problem with this type of park, imo, is that I felt more like I was visiting a state park rather than a true amusement or themepark. Maybe that was your goal all along with this, but in the scope of this contest it really doesnt fit. Eitherway, I respect what you've done here and hope there's more to come.
Here's the object for those who need it:

So if your not able to open the park its coz he cheated
Why aren't the results posted on the front page actually? It's one of the biggest rct events ever and they're not even posted on the front page. Anyway, I'm looking forward the the next park.

Good work

I also disagree with X that Old Red is the best landscaper.. The overtreeing didn't really appeal to me, and it didn't feel that natural at all to me.. Natelox's previous PT entry for example DID feel natural (and his HR entry too)..
I also thought it was too bad the go-karts didn't run (although I don't know how to get them rolling as well
