Match-Up #18: 5Dave vs. Vekoma9
#4 5Dave with his entry:
Lift-Off
#13 Vekoma9 with his entry:
Down Town Drive
After 3 votes by the judges, the winner, by a score of 3 to 0, is... 5Dave
5Dave advances to round two where he will face Levis in a highly anticipated match-up what will likely be the best match-up of round two.
OLE's writeup
Over the past year or so, 5dave has stormed up the ranks and become one of the best non-Parkmakers of today. He's had several releases, co-owned the club RCT Majesty and has participated in most of the latest contests. It's fitting then, that this great parkmaker would make one of the best entries of the round. His entry, Lift-Off, is built around a large but compact prototype coaster that has requires many hacks pulled off perfectly. The station building shows off his architecture skill, combining theming extras with practical things like a gift shop on the lower level. A custom space shuttle with launch tower that doubles as a support structure and a custom que underground further show his skill with building blocks. Facing 5dave was vekoma9 who has a nice semi realistic style. It seems he lost interest in rct after barely starting his entry though and to avoid a forfeit he sent it in anyway. Down Town Drive had the making of a decent entry but for now it just has a mini coaster and a couple unfinished buildings. It's a bit of a disappointment but vekoma would have had a tough time beating 5dave anyway. 5dave easily gained 3 votes to win and moves on to face his fellow club owner Levis in what will surely be a great match.
Winner: 5dave

I remember how you showed a screen of the layout and I thought something like "how's he going to theme that?" and you did in a way I couldn't even imagine. It's brilliant.
But actually, the best thing of the entry is the rocket. I love it, don't even know why. It's just excellent.
Now kick Levis' ass lol

one detail: why were some of the metal fences orange and others red? orange for all would have been even cooler.
There are no obvious reasons for the slight color-difference. It's just a small mistake from my part...
