Description
In 1988 Walter Willis opened up his property development company, he had an eye on this estate in the Cotswolds. he managed to purchase the surrounding farmlands and opened the park in the late 1980's.
Walter, however, struggled to convince the owner of the manor house on the estate to part with his land. So the park built up around the stubborn home owners beautiful property. Eventually in 1998 in order to compete directly with Alton Towers he bought the rest of the land and turned the manor house into a bar, kitchen and staff office.
Now this all leads up to present day. The park has two options for on site accommodation, a large hotel and a camp site. The park is home to 13 coasters and aims to remove the Log Flume and build a brand new water coaster in the near future! -

Charming NCSO-adjacent park. Reminds me a lot of the parks I built when I was younger - and I mean that in a very good way. Really cute and just very fun to look at.
thank you this took a long time to put together
Strong coaster lineup and a nice overall park layout. It feels very classic in a good way, if a bit bare in spots. Overall a very pleasant park to explore
Super charming park. It may have a bit less detail fidelity than other maps but I think the result is quite endearing and it's clear you spent some time on it. Coasters are all pretty sleek, I like Pharoah a lot (perhaps besides the batwing). I think the Egypt area would have come across better without the tarmac path, which acts to sterilise the theming a bit. I think a park like this would be better served without tarmac at all, or perhaps only as interstitial pathway. Noticed some cute details like the climbing wall vertical sign, and the mechanical western vibe around the wooden coaster. A little bare however in places, for example beneath the pirate coaster - I think even a couple of rocks and a mown grass there could have salvaged the look quite a bit, especially in comparison to some of the more naturalistic landscaping elsewhere.
I thought this was a really nice park! The atmosphere is very nostalgic for me which is a great thing. I love the vibe of the park as well, and the macro is pretty nice with everything sitting around the big lake. The music was a bit much for me, I felt like I was hearing 3 different songs simultaneously all over the map. The ride design overall seemed pretty good! I love how many coasters you managed to fit into this map!
Foliage and landscaping: What's there is pretty good. I think this park is missing a lot of foliage and landscaping details though. I'm a big proponent of leaving some areas more bare to highlight more important areas but I feel like this map was a bit too bare for my taste. Some more interesting landscaping would have gone a long way for me. With that being said there was also some really nice moments like this island on the lake.
The foliage and landscaping came together really nicely here I think. In contrast there were also a few areas where the foliage seemed a bit rushed and unfinished.
Architecture: Also kind of a mixed bag for me. I think the forms of the structures on the map were really inconsistent. You have a lot of really beautifully done, well-integrated buildings and you also have a lot of really blocky 2x2 and 3x3 buildings. There were some amazing moments like the fantastic brick resourant with the purple tables. This castle facade is my favorite thing on the map
I think that there a lot of really good ideas in the architecture but also a lot of ideas which missed the mark for me.
Overall: I liked this map and I'm glad that I checked it out! I rated this 50%. I really look forward to seeing whatever you build next. There are some amazing areas on this map but there is too much missing for me to rate it any higher.
Nice little park here, good layouts and some fun attractions. From a RCT themepark planning sense it had a very classy vibe and was really fun in that sense. Only negatives really is that it felt a bit bare and empty. A little more archy and definitely more foliage (large trees especially) would have helped make it feel much more complete.
Overall, nice work and definitely a solid accolade worthy park.
