I think this park suffers a bit from "path island" syndrome, where everything is blocked off into islands of trees and rides. The layouts aren't super strong - but I do enjoy parks with scenario play vibes, which this certainly has.
A park that reminds me of the days of how we used to do it when there was still an active RCT community on TPR.
Really like the landscaping, gives that classic scenario vibe that I adore. The park layout is well done too as is the ride selection.
It is a bit bare bones though. I see you experimented with custom buildings already, my main tip is to try and go further with it in your next project.
A nice bit of old school park making here, keep it up!
This park doesn’t have the level of detail for accolades IMO, but I don’t think that’s what you were going for anyway. Instead, it feels like a very high quality scenario play through, and that’s very fun!
I agree everything is a little too isolated / spaced out. While I think the breathing room is important (and realistic) fleshing out that space in between would do a lot for the vibes - even if it’s just little sitting areas, trash cans, or other “lived in” park features.
This seems like a good foundation either way, and I’m excited to see what else you come up with.
Man this is nostalgic as hell. I really love the vibe of this entire park and it looks like it was really fun to build. I also think its pretty crazy to check the difference in quality between this and your newer project. The newer one is clearly much more detailed and refined. This makes me very excited to see the improvements in your next piece of RCT.
Foliage and Landscaping: Landscaping is fun but not very uniform. The red rocks on the river rapids are great but kind of seem out of place in the context of everything else. The hills are also nice but I kind of wish there was more actual rocks scattered around. The lakes were also nice but I wish they were detailed a bit more.
The foliage seems like it was kind of just spammed around. Probably the low point for me on this map.
Architecture: There isn't too much architecturally speaking but I did like the few buildings/stations that were here. I think my favourite building was the station to the mine-train.
Ride and Everything else: The macro was actually really strong on this park. I also really liked a lot of the supporting rides. I thought the rapids was really well done and my favourite part of the park was the go-karts
The layouts overall seemed a bit weird to me. I did really like the wooden coaster though!
Overall: I'm glad I checked this park out! It was very fun to view and I look forward to seeing what you do next.
I can tell you had fun building this as its nearly all coasters and rides. I can also tell this is some of your early work as your other bark seem much more detailed. That said, we all started somewhere and this does show you have potential in creating some nice parks as you find your style.
That said, this is all rides and coasters. There is more to a park than just that, think about shops, restaurants and other structures to helps support the story you are telling with your park.
Congrats on getting a park finished though. That is not easily done.
