Can you escape the lab...?
This was only my 2nd finished entry i made since redicovering this game! I think this park has a lot of nice stuff and ideas that i would like to share!
The coaster is very hacked and theres a lot of moving dark ride elements so keep your eyes open ;P
The ride start can be found 180 degrees rotated from the large overview.

hahaha Timmy I loved the treadmill and the workers, this really was "TOP", what a cool idea. I need to enjoy it more, more calmly, there are so many things to appreciate.
Early days TImmytuner. It's crowded and noisy and wow is there a hell of a lot going on with this coaster - absolutely insane shoestring. This is the foundation of what is to come. Really fun to revisit this map and see all of the synchronization, the funny elements, the power spinny thing, the monorail door and the peep scenes. It's crazy. Always a Timmytuner fan.
For me it's not the refinement I expect form him these days, but it clears the bar of design on sheer technical prowess displayed in the coaster implementation. 65%
It was amazing seeing you fly out the gates with a map like this and it was fun revisiting it. There's so much going on with the ride it's definitely worth downloading to see all the fun elements, it's one of the coolest hacked coasters I've ever seen. Great work Timmy.
Whoa! This is a really interesting map overall. The vibe is really interesting and there are a lot of really awesome moments. I thought that the layout was really well done and I like the colours that you went with. The macro was pretty well done. I really like how that big cliff frames the building on top of it. I'd also like to shout out the custom opening door that you built with CTRs. This is genuinely amazing and the effect is impressive.
Foliage and Landscaping: The foliage is lacking a bit for me. The greens seem too saturated and and 1/4 tile objects seem spammed throughout the map. The trees were better and I actually really like the object selection and colours for them.
the landscaping was pretty good. The volcano objects feel like they shouldn't work great with the rock land texture but honestly it kind of looks good. The entire crater scene is also unreal. This is just such great use of objects and the coaster turn around is framed so well with the landscaping.
Architecture: There were some great moments and some less great moments. In whole, the big facility look pretty blocky which would make sense for a big government structure. The little towers with the alien experiments in them are really fun. I also was a big fan of some of the object use. This is a great use of this really weird object
In other areas the building was a bit boring and a bit too blocky for me.
Overall: This was a really fun project and I'm glad I checked it out. I rated this 65%
Great park! The Alien Test Lab theme was awesome, flipping the classic alien invasion trope on its head with a funky twist. The coaster itself delivered a good punch of speed—almost too much for me in a few sections—which definitely kept the adrenaline flowing. The creative “hacks” throughout the ride were a real highlight, especially the backwards water section. It’s clear from this park that you've levelled up since then, as your newer releases show even more polish and innovation.
full of neat tricks and big imagination! great work timmy as always!
i found this map really interesting, probably moreso than the score i gave it conveys. overall i just couldn't really get into the theme, and that stopped me enjoying the map as a whole. but there are a lot of little pockets of fantastic ideas, and the ride itself is pretty fun to follow.
fave parts were:
- mutated turtle
- conveyor belt
- launch of the coaster
- human experiments (invisible space rings)
this kind of "dirty tech/sewage" theme is almost impossible to make look good, genuinely can't think of an example where i've loved it. Meccha is probably the only thing that comes close but even that isn't a 1:1 theme so it's not a totally fair comparison. but what i will say is that if you can find a way to present these wild and interesting ideas in a more user-friendly way, you'll be laughing all the way to the bank. reminds me of levis/kumba in a way, where the ideas are just a step above everyone else. obviously this is an older park, you've already made big improvements in this regard.
Very impressive ride design with both adventure ride and actual coaster. Good commitment to the theme and all the effects.
The macro held it back for me: Many parts felt too tight, or too unwieldy, like the super large landscaping or parts that had no sightlines to access them from the main camera. I used ultrazoom and kept locating the car as it travelled to not miss things, but I really wish this would be made easier for the viewer.
Stylistically it was interesting, but didn't quite come together for me. It was a all a bit too mixed and lacked cohesion. I understand that wasn't the main goal for this map though.
This is awesome and I really enjoyed it. I think the most atmospheric part of this park might be the lower levels, due to the grunginess; and I love how the coaster turns into a dark ride there. With that said, the upper levels are clean but a bit weaker as they have the same mechanical-scenery-as-space-theme look that so many other futuristic parks have. In addition the forms and architecture weren't the best and were rather boxy, and I wasn't super impressed with the landscaping.
With that said, this has some interesting experimentation with Antarctic scenery that sets it apart from similar themes though, something that's very rarely done successfully. I think the combination of the two layers gives this a sort of 90s video game feel with the grittiness and all the little details, it's like DOOM/Fallout meets X-COM. Regarding the design itself, the layout is great, but it's the interactions with its surroundings that really elevate it; I feel because of this, the score is a little low... I mean, you have a wall made of monorails that opens up and a crocodile attacking the coaster!
There are so many details that make this park very fun to explore, I could spend a long time looking at it. Some of them really add to the experience like the engineers overlooking a conveyor belt of different vehicles. Some of them, like the tracks or the invisible canyon rocks, are negligible but show that a lot of effort has gone into this just to add a little more detail.
Overall, congrats on a well-deserved accolade. All the details and little scenes really make this a considerably more immersive design than most. I'm a huge fan of these kinds of parks and hope to see more from you.
