Description
On May 20th, 1969, in a universe not too dissimilar from our own, Apollo 11 starts to roll out of the Vehicle Assembly Building at the Kennedy Space Center. But what’s this? A message from Mission Control? The Russians have already landed on the moon? Are you sure? Aww man! Well I guess our job here is done then. Time to wind down operations and turn this place into a fully functional theme park then. Recoup some of the costs at least. Yeah, yeah, let Kubrick know he can stand down too.
Builder’s notes:?I am aware that the time setting for this park would mean that the Vehicle Assembly Building would not have the flag and Bicentennial star painted on the side as they were added in the 70’s, but they were too good to leave out. If you can spot the other deliberate historical inaccuracy then you get a bonus point! -
