Description
The Cedar fair group have finally come to the UK! A perfect penisula has been found at Britian's most southerly Spot. The Cornish cove of Lizard Point.
Copying the template of one of the most sucessful and well know theme parks in the world, the original marina has grown into Europe's top theme park resort. The park boasts 14 world class coasters including 2 record breaking rides.
The original penisula began life as a marina that built a wooden coaster to attract new visitors. Today that coaster still exists, known as red streak. Once Cedar Fair took over the building began in earnest, beginning with Sky Hawk and ending with the parks newest coaster; Iron Titan. As the park grew visitors needed more days to explore, and so the Grand Lizard Hotel was commissioned. The park today is divided into six main areas.

What a fun and dense park! Literally in every corner you managed to put a ride, shop, or something of interest, and I lost count of the coasters. I really like that you put a lot of effort into all the rides, amenities, entrances, queues, not just the coaster designs themselves; the river rapids is a highlight for me. For some of the coasters I would have probably chosen different color schemes, particularly the ones closer to the entrance are very bright and contrasting compared to the more neutral tones deeper in the park - but I guess that is a deliberate choice to show the old park before Cedar Fair took over
Overall very charming park!
Such a fun park to explore with tons of content. I especially liked the marina area and the sail boats. Just need to a small bit refinement with some of the building around the entrance plaza. Keep it up.
The coasters are truly impressive - each one feels authentic to its real life counterparts. Rocky Mountain makes me want to go ride Millennium Force... it's wild to watch it blast past pathways at 90 mph. I really like Starwars The Ride... I'm always a sucker for an Arrow Looper and the interaction with the pathways is great, as is the support work. Lightspeed, with its bridge, theming, and tower supports is really striking. Iron Titan looks typical RMC madness and an absolute blast to ride.
I do have a few critiques. I agree that I would have gone with different color schemes on a few of the coasters... the hard blues/blacks/reds/neon greens are tough on my eyes in spots. Wave Clipper looks awesome but maybe runs a bit fast IMO. And I'd have maybe gone with a less tubular support for Rocky Mountain... you have some awesome support structures on the bungee drop right next door that I think would have looked great on the huge lift hill. And the park sounds/music blurred together a lot... it could just be my setup but it seemed like a few too many soundtracks going on at once. I'd have also like to see some cars in the parking lots.
Overall though, this is chaotic park, and I mean that as a compliment. I feel like every coaster fan has dreamed of building their own Cedar Point, and really impressive you were able to stick to it and finish it all. It feels like Willy Wonka got ahold of Cedar Point and went wild, and the result is a fun, detail-packed feat of building. It's inspiring, and it's a breath of fresh air to see such a coaster-focused build. You've created an absolutely bustling and alive theme park, and you should be proud. Well done and congrats!!
"Sit down in my amusement park and relax..."
Taking care of the floral-rich décor is no small task for the staff; they must remember those unruly visitors:
"Mom, look at the pretty flowers!"
"I see, daughter, but don't touch..."
Restaurants attract the hungry and thirsty.
Shops and stands? Ideally, they should be up-to-date.
The design is on point – full of nice ideas to get you in the mood for fun.
"Stormy Sea Trials" is sure to lift anyone's spirits.
"Wave Clipper" is a masterpiece.
This park deserves a gold medal for its many highly refined attraction designs (they are marvels of engineering).
A cool classic – the Miniature Railway (a beautiful route design) is also included.
Overall, a piece of excellent, refined work that encourages reflection. The abundance of detail is a must for anyone wanting to test their skills in creating such a scenario.
And it's not so trivial after all.
All the best."
This was an extremely fun park and very impressive in its size. I've enjoyed following along with this project and I'm happy to finally get to experience the end result. The like the warm atmosphere that this park has although some parts felt a bit disjointed to me. I thought the workbench you used was a nice change up from what were used to over these past few years.
I thought the foliage and landscaping were pretty good throughout the park and I liked the fake theme park rock work throughout. The tree choices object choices were good and there was some really nice foliage moments like how "Seagull Wirlybirds" is surrounded by bushes and flowers.
The ride designed was pretty good for the most part but there were some things that could have helped out a bit like having "Wave clipper" duel itself. There were also some really amazing moments like the operational chain return on rocky mountain.
I also liked the bits of outskirts like the whole dock section with the boats and the two hotel options for guests. It would have been nice if there was a bit more life on the beaches and in the parking lot. Those areas felt a bit dead. I liked the architecture for the most part but there was some areas that could have been improved. The whole boat themed station for Wave Clipper was my favourite part of the park. It was a really cool idea and I think it worked out insanely well.
Overall, I liked a lot of what I saw in this park. I'm really glad I was able to check it out!
