Hi
I thought I would give you all a personal invitation to enter RCT2.com new RCT3 monthly contest.
I post a challenge each month to build and theme not a park but a "design" sized map. Here is the challenge this month and last month's (the first month) winner:
NUTZ 'N' BOLTZ
I know there are some of you guys here that are messing around with RCT3 and you might be interested in showing off your skills. You would need to be a RCT2.com member to enter.
I'd love to have all you great parkmakers to give this a shot! -

It is pretty evident from the olympics thread that the majority of us hate RCT3 with a passion. -

I have no idea how you can say that, seeing as there wasn't any real controversy with RCT 3 other than that coaster that won... and that's hardly enough to jump to conclusions....It is pretty evident from the olympics thread that the majority of us hate RCT3 with a passion.

For the record, I actually really like RCT3 visually. Unfortunately, the performance issues prevent me from wanting to play it. -

I agree. RCT3 has an enormous amount of potential, especially with the coming of "Soaked". I occassionally find myself thinking about creating something in RCT3, but quickly lose motivation when I consider the performance issues. Therefore, I'm leaving RCT3 on the backburner right now. If the performance issues can be addressed in the expansion and also add more content to the game, then I'm all game for it....otherwise, its not for me...
So for now, I'm saying no to any RCT3 competitions....sorry becky... -

Maybe I'll make something for next month. There's not much time left now for this month's.
Sounds pretty cool though. -

JKay, I don't know what your specs are, but this contest requires only a small park/map, which should lead to a smooth performance where you'll not need a high-end computer...I agree. YES! Well that and the prefab parts on the coasters make for some rather ugly look'n trasitions. But hey, what do I know, I've never played it!For the record, I actually really like RCT3 visually. Unfortunately, the performance issues prevent me from wanting to play it.
