    Thanks!

    Park Download
Dream Woodie .dat file (Needed because it does not import from the saved game correctly; .dat file will be included in .zip soon).

Well, after a long break from the game, I've finally completed my third RCT2 park. This park was a lot of fun to build, and was a very rewarding and satisfying experience. It felt really good to excercise the creativity legs on the RCT canvas again.

I had several goals in mind when I set out to create this park:

    - Must be a working park that's peep friendly with wide paths (must have no peep
problems; No lost or wandering guests).
    - Must have realistic buildings with art deco as the main architectural motif.
    - Must have a semi-cramped layout, ala Blackpool or Kennywood (land is scarce).
    - Must have lots of flat rides.
    - Must have a good collection of smallish coasters that pack a punch.
    - Must have several, realistic, classic dark rides.
    - Must have a massive Woodie in the back of the park.
    - Must have working staff that are competent.
    - Park must have good attention to detail.
    - Park must operate at a profit (Free admission, pay per ride).
    - Park must be a fun place to go!

I think I have achieved all of these goals. The peeps are happy and can get around with no problems. The rides are fun and exciting. The architecture came out pretty good. The park has a realistic feel, with good attention to detail. The park is operating at a respectable profit margin. I like the end result, but it sure was a hell of a lot of work.

In light of these goals, the park download is filled with peeps and working staff. If you don't want to see the peeps, fire up your favorite trainer and nuke 'em! ;)

The main attractions of the park:

The Seneca Streak - a massive 7,651 ft. woodie with 17 drops (including a harrowing 121 foot drop), over 7 secs. of air time, and top speeds of over 65 mph.

Blue Ridge River Run - a thrilling white water adventure, which ends with a
    huge 22 ft. drop.

Dynamite Run - a great mine train ride through an old coal mine.

    Foo - a stomach-turning 2,676 foot stand up coaster, with 4 inversions.

Inverto Blast - a tight 2,100 foot inverted coaster, with 3 inversions.

Get Reel Funky - a great, intense, old school virginia reel ride, with a funky
    atmosphere.

Big Red - 2,395 feet of sit down coaster thrills.

Dr. Spook's House of Horror - a large, classic, haunted house dark ride.

The Fun House - another blast from the past. Watch out for evil clowns!

The Lost Tomb of King Ra - a fun indoor Water Coaster, with lots of animatronics.

Undead Hunter - a scary interactive dark ride.

The park also feature lots of thrill rides, like inverters and spin-n-pukes, as well a good selection of kiddie rides. Fun for the whole family!

i'm sorry but from the screens the park doesn't look attractive enough for me to actually download it.
what i like is the realism factor which is, from what i can say, seemingly there. but colours-wise, it's not pretty at all, which is just as important for me.

Anyways, it installed about 5,000,000,000,000 peices of custom scenery, and still was missing objects! Was this an expansion? Did I accidentally delete something I shouldn't have, and didn't notice? Hmm...

    Same thing happened to me.

    Damn, that sucks.

The park does have a fair amount of custom scenery (none by me), but it's no more than a lot of other parks I've seen.

I just found out from a reliable source that the problem is the Dream Woodie coaster (by The Amazing Earl). I didn't know it before, but apparently this .dat file has problems importing from the saved game. I've included a link to it in the OP, and will update the .zip soon.

    Thanks

I thought it was pretty good. It reminds me of a park you would go to at the beach.

I think it´s old skool... but nice

BTW, the download for this has been fixed. I added the Dream Woodie DAT file to the ZIP a while back -- probably a day after the complaints.

    lol, rct2 can be oldschool?
  • Coaster Ed%s's Photo
I think by now, RCT2 can be considered old school. Cause this is definately old school in an RCT2 way. Except for the custom scenery. But it looks like what a lot of the first RCT2 parks looked like. Maybe cause one of the best ones back in the day was built by Testudo?

I'm siding with Ed here. Back in the days reminds me of LL, but if i wasn't around then the days would be the days of one of the first rct2 parks, made by testudo. yes.
