RCT Discussion / Need Help

AAARGHHH.... this is so frustrating.

i finally found RCT3 Soaked, i went out and i installed it, but it didn't go to the normal screen, it just up and went started installing files in whatever it felt like putting them. i stopped it, and i moved some files around, then Soaked began to install in the right folder. the problem was when it was installed i started up the game, there was absolutly no music.. something didn't check right, i then started up on of my sandbox games, and half way through i'm blanketed with files that could not be found. ok ok...

i went back, and started to delete some of Soaked files, i stopped after a moment and tried uninstalling Soaked all together. BUT when i did so, it said "Use the Roller Coaster 3 Uninstaller to uninstall RCT3+Soaked" I thought this ment using the original cd to uninstall, so... i did so.

well whaddya know Soaked is still on my list of programs available while the original RCT3 is off the game...

i re-installed the game, and now the Soaked won't load, always coming up "error won't load" or "Use the Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Uninstaller to Uninstall RCT3+Soaked" what the fuck....

now i'm stuck with a game that is both detached and inoperable, and the files are lying everyone astrewen.... shit...

any ideas guys?

System Restore?

First make sure you remove the program directories, like c:\program files\whateveritscalledinrct3

Then if you're still having trouble, run "regedit" from the Start->Run line, and then use the Find feature to look for any references to "rct3" or "coaster" or "tycoon" or whatever it takes, and if they are related to the game at all, delete them*. Then reinstall the game.

If you have system restore, I'd say that's your safest bet. It should have created a restore point before Soaked! was installed. If not, just cross your fingers and hope you have a restore point that's not too far in the past.
