i was just wondering what everyone thought of the group/album..

we have a new black eyed peas song on our radio (i work as a lifeguard, so i listen to the radio all day everyday) about once every three weeks, and everytime they have a different sound. i think it's really cool how they can have a different sound for each song. monkey business has a great variety and i think it's great album.

your thoughts?

I do not have the album yet, trying to download it from i-tunes. All i now is that there new song 'Don't Lie' is really good, and so is the one before it- forgot the name. They always produce good stuff, *downloading*.

Not really to my taste, personally. I just think it's nothing that hasn't been done before. And also, "Where is the Love" sounds quite a bit like Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn".

WITL was on Elephunk, not Monkey Business. Unless you meant that as a general comment.

Anyhoo.. I prefer Monley Business to Elephunk as an album. I found Elephunk very repetetive, although all the singles from it are great - it's just easier to listen to MB I think

I was pulled into seeing them at San Diego Street Scene and I almost ended up hating them even more, because they took an hour to get on stage. But as it turned out they had a problem getting the chick in the door and she ended up coming out on stage in a wife beater, shorts and no makeup just to give the people a show, plus the black dude is a pretty good freestyler and the Filipino guy freestyled in Tagalog which is major bonus points. Hip-Hop concerts are not usually my thing but they put everything out there and they did give a pretty good show. I'm not really into the whole gansta rap scene, I mean, I always get uncomfortable at hardcore Hip-Hop shows. So that made it a little bit more easy to enjoy the Peas. Anyway, I do have some sort of respect for them now. And I always did have a soft spot for shit like "Where is the Love"--- shoot, MJ's "Heal the World" always has a place in my heart.

I like the videos for Shut Up and Don't Phunk With My Heart, and I actually like those songs quite a bit, but i'm not keen on the rest. Where Is The Love? was one of my least favourite songs ever...so depressing!

I honestly don't care for their music at all. They were alright before Fergie joined, but now they suck.

i actually agree with that, if you actually listen to the lyrics.. they are absolutely horrible and quite pointless. but the choruses are good and the songs sound good as a whole.

I'm with Iris on this - I don't like the B.E.P's either.
WAAAAAY too "teenybopper-ish" for me.

Their best song was "Fly Away" on Elephunk though...

Also, I reckon they've made a massive mistake releasing this lies song with the 'nonono' chorus, right after the 'nonono' chorus of Don't Phunk...
Really bad planning if you ask me.

Havnt heard Monkey Business, but Elephunk was superb.

I dont usually listen to that sort of music but they are pretty good, in general not just the new stuff.

I don't understand how anybody can think they're good. Do you even listen to the lyrics?

Could someone tell me how you "phunk" with someone's heart?

I think it involves a kind of prodding motion...not unlike using your finger to eat ice cream.
