I was just doodling in RCT 3 a bit and had a wee bit of inspiration and thought I might build something. This is what I came up with. Not necessarily NE Design material, but I think it's got its own sense of a quaint, little roller coaster. I'm fairy sure that's just the basic theming seeing as there is no actual park in sight, in which case the second half of the ride would be surrounded with trees or whatnot. Anywho, here's a picture and a link for the DL [crosses fingers]. If link(s) don't work, please alert me.

Oh, and this is regular RCT 3. If anyone wanted to know.

I'll start off with the comments.

'Wow! I like the simplicity of this. Although the house looks like it needs another color and the coaster itself is a bit small, I still think it merits at least a 'Good job'. Sooo .... Good job ..... Hope to see more form you soon.'

    Now, your turn.

Kinda too simple and there is no theming. 8@

Yes, I agree that it is fairly simple and too bland for most people's tastes, like I said, this ride would fit nicely in a park if one were to sit down an build onto this one *coughnotmecough*. I still wish I woulda added something along the length of the ride for looks, but I just didn't have any more drive. Plus, my homework needed to be done. 8@

Is it just me, or does that first drop look like it could literally rip your eyeballs outta your head?

Oh, that reminds me, at first I wanted to do one of those squirrel coasters (idk what its called, look it up yourself), but I came to realize that it wont let you build a small piece of track going slightly up, sooooo, i ended up with that.

And yes, i realize that i respond every question/comment, but i like to answer peeps without much delay b/c i dont like people getting the wornd impression and have the topic go off into something else. And I have no life.

    *tears up*

The coaster looks ok I guess. That first major drop is pretty strange, then the curve beneath, Ooh! (with shivers). Can you get a banked turn at the far end? The building looks fine, but I agree, too bland. Needs some sort of variation with the coloring, unless you were going for a monochomatic look. But this was built on a whim right? The queue & footpath area looks cool. Personally, I'd get some taller trees to shade the area a bit. Just my opinion. But it does need some trees around it. Maybe to kind of hide that vicious drop. :0 Also place a handyman down there to retrieve valuables that fall out of pockets & whatever.

Are those support-thingies standard? I haven't downloaded the park, but I don't remember seeing those supports... so... just wondering...

Look okay, though. Although, guys, you do know there are coasters like that in real-life, don't you? Seem pretty boring, actually. This looks a lot more fun! Still kind of "meh", though...

Yeah, now that you brought it up. I think it's something of a carnival ride, isn't it? Climb up to the top, up & over, under & straight down. Never seen the rest of it. As far as I know, it could dead end over an open manhole. LOL!

Yes, this coaster WAS supposed to resemble this

    Saxophone

Oh, and Wolfman, there aren't banked curves on that coaster as far as I know. But then again, I wasn't paying attention.

And no, cg? those are park of the SteelWorx scenery pack.

    SteelWorx

Oh, and one thing with the SteelWorx, with me at least, it likes to let you build coasters and rides and do lanscaping, but it doesn't let me build scenery. It just gives me an error trapper message when the SteelWorx are in a scenery directory when I put the SteelWorx in the directory BEFORE I open the game. My solution to this was to keep SteelWorx out of the directory until I opened my park. Then, I'd alt-tab the game and put the SteelWorx back into the directory. I dunno if this is exactly what I did since I haven't played RCT 3 for a couple weeks and am not sure if it was just an isolated incident with me or not, but hopefully all goes smooth for you. And I dunno if you have to DL the SteelWorx to open my file.
