General Chat / Volunteering

Obviously I need to get some volunteering hours in. I'm not sure what to do. At first, I was going to help train dogs for blind people.. but the whole situation got complicated. So now I'm asking you guys what you did so that I can draw up some ideas.

community service is overrated.

Is this for school or something? You could probably just collect stuf and donate ti to Good Will or the Salvation Army.

I had to do service, eh I mean "Leven", for school. Am I the only person who feels like complete shit doing this sort of stuff for a grade?

Yeah I think he needs it for school, I did.

What I did was go to a gym and ask if I could supervise the basketball court, they said I could and I played basketball all day and every now and them said "you'll need to drink that outside"

IDEAS:

Umpire/referee games for inner city kids.

Help set up Hurricane Relief or Earthquake Relief (for Pakistan).

Habitat for Humanity (you can build houses).

Helping old people at community homes.

Go to Fall Rally with Key Club.

Help tutor kids.

Sperm bank? Daily? Donate money to charity.

I've done football (soccer) coaching and a program called Soul in the City which pretty means renovating peoples lives who live in awful conditions. Still not enough I feel though.

Walk old ladies across the street.

Habitat for Humanity is what I do.
