Ask the Experts / Need some help with RCT Music.....

    Right, this is the situation:

For a presentation at school I need some adventurous music. I inmedialtly tought about the Pirates music from RCT2. However, the thing is I can't recall how to convert the RCT music files to *.wav, *.mp3 or whatever. So if someone could help me out that'd be great. And if someone could tell me what the name of te file is that would be terific as well.

    Thanks in advance!

Conversion is very easy. Just change the extension to .wav. The file you're looking for is called css44.dat. If you want to convert is to mp3 you'll need software for that.

You can download it from Tycoonplanet in .mp3 format.

That's all? Damn, I could have figured that out myself as well :p

    Hell, that's even easier! :)

Yeah, the music files are just WAVS pretending to be DATs! It's quite simple to change that, really. Some music programs which actually look at the file, rather than the file extension, will probably treat it like a WAV anyways, including allowing you to convert it to MP3, or any other audio type you'd like.

    Well, thanks again.

The presentation went well, the music worked just the way I planned it, so your help was definately apreciated. I hope the teacher liked it as well, unfortunately I have to wait 2 weeks (!) for the result....
