The long awaited Disneyland Version 2 is finally here! After months of sitting on my desktop rotting away, I've finally decided to release it. For those who are unfamiliar with this project, Disneyland Version 2 is an update on March 2005's Super Runner-Up park, The Disneyland Resort. Updated features include:

-Tomorrowland now gracefully replaces Discoveryland. As much as I love the Discoveryland theme, it is very hard to pull off right in RCT2. Thus I decided to do the New Tomorrowland theme of the Magic Kingdom in Florida. Rides include:
    1) The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter
    2) The Timekeeper
    3) Astro Orbitor
    4) Rocket Rods
    5) Space Mountain (same shell b/c I hate the dull, lifeless white version)
    6) Autopia
-The Shadowlands has received an almost complete overhaul. The Colonial America area is gone and has been replaced with an expansion of the medieval Europe theme found around the base of Bald Mountain. In place of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, one can now find Rapunzel's Enchanted Tower in it's place. The Old Mill has also been added.
-it's a small world has been moved to a new mini-map that is included in the download. With it is a WAV file titled CUSTOM. If you want to watch the ride with the music, simply add a 1 to that filename and put it in your data folder. The facade uses scenery released during the RCT2.com and RCT*Mart Disneyland 50th Anniversary Celebration. I found this scenery to be much more appealing than trying to attempt a facade using pre-existing RCT2 scenery.
-Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has increased in size. The mountain is no longer stumpy as it was in the original version. It is now much taller (I believe, in RCT2 terms, over 120 feet) and the track has been completely redone. I was very happy with the track layout however the train doesn't maintain a good speed throughout the ride. I felt that the mountain's appearance was more important than how fast the trains run on certain parts.
-The Frontierland Railroad Station has also been moved to accomodate the entrance to the Splash Mountain mini-map. Sadly, I have yet to make this mini-map. However you can see what can be considered a sneak peek of the mountain near the edge of the map.
-The Jungle River Cruise has been completely redone as well. The new layout tries to cram all your favorite Jungle Cruise scenes in the tiny space provided. The animal scenery and Jungle Cruise boats used here was created by the AmazingEarl for the Disneyland 50th Anniversary Celebration.

There are also many other minor updates throughout the park. Some are aesthetic, some are architectural. Overall I feel that this park is about as perfect as I can get it (considering the damn sprite limit). If it is possible to love one's own work, than I am indeed infatuated by this park. I hope ya'll feel the same way about it. Remember, it took me 1 1/2 years to get right!

...Corky still has me beat. ;)

I think you miss the Amazing Earl Jungle Cruise ride. Just download it from here: http://www.amazingea...rides-water.htm

Yeah, I believe that both parks are WW. I can't remember if I used WW objects on the small world map or not.

yes, both seem to be WW

i downloaded the ride tyandor mentioned but it says "invalid data"

btw: the music is nice ;)

Basically, you have to install the whole of AEs fucking site, I think. I haven't finished yet.

Yeah, I could load it either at first: just download all disney related rides from AE's site and it will probably work.

The Tomorrowland section is a big improvement over the previous version although I think the Jules Verne approach would be nicer when executed right.

Keywords: when executed right. Jules Verne themeing requires a great amount of unique detailing that can't be achieved in RCT2. The Hyperion, Nautilus, and Columbiad, all symbols of Verne, are next to impossible to pull off convincingly in RCT2. I'm sure someone could do it, but I'm not that person.

Finally got this to work. It's good, but I like the DiscoveryLand one better than the Tommorowland.

I think you missed the atmosphere with both parks, as the whole map has this dead feel to it. Although many people will say that its the slightly larger scale than what everybody is used to, I think something else is the real problem. The thing with Disney parks is that with its high capacity rides, probably the highest anywhere, guest see the rides in constant motion and it really does do alot for atmosphere. Take the bald mountain ride for example, there should be a boat going down that exposed drop every 15-20 seconds. If you could somehow incorporate this into each of your rides here, I'd be interested in seeing if the atmosphere improves.

In regards to Bald Mountain, I couldn't hack it right is why it's not moving. Other than that I don't know what else to do. I'm done with this park for a good while.
