mr sawyer should better spent his time on creating a rct4 for us.
since when can Sawyer make 3D games? I mean common although the games he makes are good, but concerning that rct1,2 (and the others) are completely written in Assembly... I mean that programming code is very prehistoric. I doubt that mister Sawyer can work with more modern stuff. -

well, you never know. age of empires and commandos set a trend away from 3d games towards high detail 2d graphics back in their days.
i'm still hoping for a 2d rct game with graphics like in commandos3 and above.
although admittedly, that is very unlikely to happen. -

The thing is, you could easily make a incredibly detailed, realistic and totally customizable RCT4 in 2D - it would sell like hot cakes. -

It would sell to the current rct1/2 community. But that group isn't very large + people expect to be able to ride their rides these days and that requires 3D. Believe me: it wouldn't be possible unless we made it ourselves. -

What's wrong with a 2d game that gives the option of in-game 3d on-ride-video? -

That would be the best thing IMO. Like I said when news of RCT 3 was popping up, you should build in iso mode, then launch in 3D mode. Ideally, both would be equal in detail, but while building, the game takes up a lot less resources than in 3D mode. The 3D would be used to experience the park and its rides, not to build.
It's a wonderful balance of gameplay and aesthetics, IMO. -

Only problem is that if they use RCT2 graphics with a RCT3 graphic on-ride graphics, how exactly will the people look? I mean, fisrt you have all male people, then when your on the ride, what would these people look like in 3D? How they work that? I think if RCT4 is made, Hotels should be made. -

Who cares what people would look like? Give males short hair, females long.
I dont think RCT4 could ever been 2D now, as it wouldnt look as good as RCT3 (talking about the wider market). Someone that hasnt played before, would look at RCT2, RCT3, and pick the third because it looks better on the box. They won't know that atari are a bunch of retards, selling unfinished games.
Unless Sawyer starts a new series of games, there won't be another good, err i mean 2D version of RCT. -

That's also my opinion. I think, RCT4 has to be a 2D-building part and a 3D-Coaster part. I didn't really like the style of RCT3, that's because I don't play it. There isn't any
"micro-management" like in the first 2 parts.
Chris, when you read this message, please think about RCT4 in 2D !!!
I doubt whether he'll read it xD
