In the trailer it seemed to be funny, but critics and internet users demoralized its rating, after the film had been released.

I love them both, he's a really good actor as well. i watched it in a group and all the girls found it pointless and all the lads found it amazing.

I walked out of the theatre on Date Movie. Not funny at all, I would expect a 12 year old to laugh at it though.

I just recently bought Final Destination 3. Best movie I've seen in a while. It's really interesting. It's like a mystery that you try to figure out who will die next, and what they will die from. I recommend this movie.

Ok i watched Transporter 2 and really liked it.

The only bit that ruined it for me was how he got the bomb off the bottom of the car my hitting it on the crane hook.
apart from that i loved it

I just finished "Tears of the Sun". I think that everyone here should see it, because it really opens your eyes to the type of genocide that is happening in Africa. I am disgusted that people can treat others that way. 8@

An incredible movie; I highly recommend it. I'm just wondering why I hadn't heard about this film before I saw it!

    The Black Dahlia
    1.5/5

Looked decent and interesting from the trailer. I read the book, and found it convoluted, yet somewhat interesting. Just saw the movie, and it followed the exposition of the book fairly well (not perfectly, but decently enough). First problem, though, it took that tangent for too long.

The rest of it pretty much went shitty. Plot lines were changed, the vague references to the original plot were rushed and incoherent, and it emphasized the campy details over the details that would show actual investigation going on. Speaking of an investigation, it didn't seem to be about one. It was just the characters and their lives, and to make it seem like things were progressing, sudden and fairly unexplained revelations came along.

As a whole, it attempted to capture a 40's film noir feel with the "shot through gauze" look, but failed to maintain that theme by going overboard with "let's jump into sex" scenes that would have fit more had they been left to the imagination. Not to mention, most of said sex scenes were unfittingly uncomfortable and forced.

The actors, well, just about all of them could have done with better direction, more characterization, and less puffing on cigarettes. Josh Hartnett mumbled most of the time, so it was just about as difficult to understand him as it was with Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain. Scarlet looked pretty and had moments of appropriate acting, but mostly, she didn't come across as being the character. It didn't help that some of her lines were very disjointed in how someone's thoughts would work. Mia did fine as the desperate, struggling actress in the two minutes she had of notable screen time. Fiona Shaw did alright, but went a bit over the top with her character; she carries off one of the only good scenes in the film. Hilary Swank finally got to play a very feminine role, and she did fine. Not one of the main characters brought anything memorable, acting-wise. If anything, most of the background characters showed the best acting.

It's sad that the movie had so little of the intrigue and emotion that made the book worth reading at all.
