Here's just a few screens showing what you can do with steel twists coasters. I'm just working on a couple of designs that probably wont be finished coz the game lags if you build anything over say...5x5 squares :p Anyway, take this as less of an advertisement and more of an "open your eyes and see what this game can do (on the coaster front)"

A diagonal loop. Hurrah. You can also have diagonal corkscrews and dive loops. And you can curve whilst going up with the diagonal curve.

Proper Zero G rolls. You can have them from going up steep or going up not so steep. Either way looks cool.

A large batwing using the dive loop elements (you can enter/exit a dive loop from straight or diagonal)

Incline loop. You enter these by going upwards whilst having it banked. Also, on the turns, you can now enter a turn unbanked and have it end banked or vice versa. And that does include height change turns. Also, there's another new element where if you are going down in a gentle slope, you can click up in a gentle slope (or vice versa) and there's a piece with a smooth transition. You can kinda see it in the screen as well.

    A dive loop happy screen.

Brake run with a good view of the coaster.

The cool mist effect used for a Jurrasic Park River Adventure-esque ride....without the river. Oh, and block brakes are actually good now!

    Enjoy.

you are obsessed with that. there are no problems at all. Especially withh most of the custom scenery having zero clerances anyways. I have yet to reach somewhere where i need to use zero clearances. Since the clearances are odd anyways.

Yeah, that Mantis is not too great, and shouldn't the supports be the more bluish shade?

But cool stuff. It makes me almost want to play RCT3. But then I remember it takes 45 minutes to load and I feel like this: :(

Looking good Metro.......hey, did you enter that Hersheypark RCT3 contest?

1st prize is $100,000....I think you have to be a US resident though
  • Metropole%s's Photo
No I didn't Meretrix. I don't recall seeing it on the UK site. Unsurprising, Hershey being very American and all. I doubt it's open to Non-US residents :(
