Saturday 18th March 2006 me, leighx and a few friends took a trip to Thorpe Park very excited to ride the new rollercoaster Stealth similar sort of ride to TTD and Kingda Ka but just smaller. Having never been on this sort of ride before i was very nervous and omg it was the best experience i have had on a coaster yet. Sitting in the seat waiting to get launched at 0 to 80mph in 2.3 seconds really gives you butterfiles and the whole experience of the coaster is like no other, it really is amazing.
Anyone else here been on it yet? i would love to know what you thought of it. Awesome ride Thorpe's best yet definetly worth riding.

I've been on Top Thrill Dragster, and the launch is the best part. I sat in the back seat, and was hoping the train wouldn't reach the top. I would have gotten two rides that way. Unfortunately, the train cleared the hill both times. I swear, the whole ride structure shakes when a train gets launched up the hill. -

is this attraction based on the hit feature film of the same name? because that's pretty lame.
but seriously.
...i've never been on Top Thrill Dragster. for some strange reason, waiting in line for 3 hours didn't appeal to me. -

You're suppose to bunk of school to visit them.. not go in school holidays..
Or if you're not at school... still go while all the little shits are in school...

Was there on opening day last week with a load of friends. After getting stuck on Collossos for 2 hours due to a power cut we got exit passes for stealth and free tickets to visit again.
Great little ride if a little short. But im glad both this and Paultons Parks Cobra are both being added so close to me this year -

That Cobra looks set to be a nice little ride. I've always wanted to own my own quaint little park like Paultons (never been so dont know how big it is).
I used to go Oak Wood, way before they built Megaphobia, and watching it go from this lovely, charming little park into a thrill seekers paradise is great, its still got its warmth and charm too. I can imagine Paultons being the same.
On topic though, Stealth looks alright! Although I feel that Tussauds are trying to just cut, paste & downsize KK and TTD. Its a shame really, because 10 years ago, Tussauds were putting out attractions which were fantastic - and original, RMT and Nemesis @ Alton Towers spring to mind, yet - they never really broke the bank.
Still, the launch on Rita was the best part of a good ride, and with Stealth's higher speed in less time - can only be good!Edited by Adonis, 23 March 2006 - 02:44 AM.

Hehe, saw you in the video
Stealth looks pretty cool, and somewhat unlike anything I've been on before. I'll probably never get the oppertunity to ride TTD or KK so this is good for me.

Wondered what this was from the TV ads, haven't kept up to date with the UK coaster scene for a few years now.
Since i'm never going to get to ride TTD, this'll do for me! I'll probably never go on this either, though. -

The first I knew of this was seeing it from the M3 on my way up to London. Looks pretty impressive. I must make a trip there soon, it's only an hour away. -

Im going on the 26th
Corky dont rub it in!This is amazing for our country, too many boring old farts that dont like the idea of a bit of track in the way when they want to stare at the sky.

Just got back from a 3 day trip to alton towers with my girlfriend and her family, my god tussuads rock.
Thorpe park is becoming more thrilling than alton though.
Rita sucks, well after riding stealth
