Hey gang, here's the latest project I've completed. This "Design" was an attempt to replicate the roller coaster at the Las Vegas New York, New York casino.

Here's a real photo of coaster

I used a lot of customized objects in this design, and many people do not like having additional objects put in THEIR folder. To bypass this problem follow the instruction below. As you will see it is very quick and easy.

Step 1. Before starting the game open your RCT2 folder.

Step 2. Copy the "ObjData" folder (Click on the folder once, so it's highlighted and hit Ctrl C).

Step 3. Hit/type Ctrl V: paste the folder (yes in the same folder, RCT2)

Step 4. When it's done pasting you will see the folder, "Copy of ObjData"

All of your objects are now saved, you can now load as many parks as you like without contaminating your ObjData folder. When you're done . . .

Step 5. Go back to your RCT2 folder and delete the "ObjData" folder.

Step 6. Rename the "Copy of ObjData" folder to "ObjData"

    That's it!

Those steps are just so you don't get his custom scenery if you dont' want to keep it.

It's definitely crazy, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have a lot of people yelling at me for not making it a Design. But I've already gotten an earful from Beejer, so BRING IT ON!!!! :p

Best recreation ever made for RCT2, end of story, period.

Amazing rec, without a doubt should have been a design.

*cancles plans to ever send in Kumba rec for NE design* 8@

It doesn't look bad, but I really wish somebody would make some useful diagonal scenery to help make the empire state building be normal
  • vekoma9%s's Photo
It wasn't bad, but the stats were a wh0le lot different. On your coaster it was 96. On rcdb it is this. http://rcdb.com/qs.h...nhattan express .............you didn't do a bad jod, it was just the track itself in my opinion, but everthing else was great. Good job.

It's a TOGO, what the hell do you expect?

Looks good from the screens... I can see why this wasn't made design, though.

It probably didn't make design because the reason (atleast this what I think it is) for NE designs are to showcase COASTERS and not architecture. While Beejer did a great job with the overall map, the coaster probably barely covers a fourth of the map. No offense to Beejer, because it does look excellent. The game is called Rollercoaster Tycoon, not Architecture Tycoon.

My home parks TOGO is actually smooth. This looks great Beejeer, although you got the support colour wrong, and the track is a darker red:

I'll have to download this later for a closer look, but I must admit the screens look good. The accuracy seems pretty spot-on too. I think I agree with what steve said about it not making design though.

Good to see you still lurking around Beej!!

The coaster looks rough : 72 mph in front of a loop...

Those buildings are so great too. I love the supports tab that you made too.

Me neither. Especially if you read the description on the designs page:

"Welcome to the NE Designs! Fully themed rides from the masters of RCT, at your fingertips!

To submit an NE Design, send an email to designs@nedesigns.com, include the ride, and a description of the ride. Not all entries will be accepted. "

It doesn't even mention it has to be a coaster, so techncially you could even enter any ride (although a tracked one would make sense) Also theming is essential when it comes to ride experience, so that shouldn't be an issue IMO.

well, as a design, it's not bad, but it's an insanely hard coaster to rec. but you did pull off the scenery of New York New York nicely. And I don't think B&M was the best track style... maybe a Vekoma or hacked something else
