Ask the Experts / DVD Presentation Question

Okay, so I've got a big question for the technologically proficient out there.

I'm doing a project for a class that involves a 15-20 minute presentation in which I would need to show 3-4 three-ish minute clips from DVDs in a short amount of time.

Does anyone know of any possible solutions?

For example, is it possible to rip certain scenes from DVDs and to play them only (not to sell, of course!) for the presentation so that I can basically just hit "play", it would play the clip, then I could talk, then move on to the next clip.

Any help would be appreciated ASAP!
