I've seen this done but can't figure it out. Any help would be great. I just want the working elevator car going up and down.

    Thanks in advance

tried putting the tracktype on crooked house already ?
  • RCTNW%s's Photo
yes and that worked except I cant get the ride entrance/exit to sink.

Can't you just sink the entrance/exit first? Or am I wrong?
  • RCTNW%s's Photo
I tried doing that first but then I error trap. If I try and change it to crooked house, then sink the entrance/exit, I cant do the upper level. Frustrating.

Maybe build everything of the ride except the entrances/exits, Begin Special Build Mode, place all entrances/exits, sink them, and End Special Build Mode? Then just change it to Crooked House Mode, and I think that would work. Maybe I'm wrong, though.

I did that and it error trapped

The trick here is to build the elevator and set the operating mode to rotating lift mode (I think that is the mode) and the track to crooked house. It will make the track and base invisible and the elevator will start at the bottom and climb to the top open up, then go back down and open. This operating mode only requires one station so the only station you need is at the base, then from there sink the entrance/exit as I believe it is very unlikely that it will break down.

I can remember doing this trick like this in Kiriki dutch falls so you must be doing something wrong because it should work ....
don't forget that after you lowered the entrance and exits you first put the ride to test before you make it invisible

As I did it for the PT2 here is my way.

Build ride, build entrance/exit (i just built one entrance and one exit, but it works with two aswell), lower them, make ride invisible.
This works for sure, otherwise the rides in my PT2 park wouldn't work.

So you must be doing something wrong, as there is no real trick in doing this one, apart from what levis already mentioned.

    Thanks Gee! It worked!

I also want to thank everyone else for their help on this. I'm still not sure why I was having problems with the other option.
