(Archive) Place-To-Release-Your-Parks Land / Terraform

Nothing special here, really just a project to see what I could do with the game. I consider this to be my "step-up" park into parkmaking. I understand why it didn't get design, since that wasn't my goal for this, but I was happy with the result, so I took a shot at it, not expecting anything. I'm just glad I've finished something I can finally be proud of.

So what was the official reason why this didnt win?

I can tell you based entirely on the screen: quality.

A design is essentially supposed to be of super-runner up or spotlight quality just over a very small area. The real challange is to build with that level of quality over a whole map.

Well it looks better in game than in that screen. I thought it was actually really good, it was themed, realistically, unlike most things I have seen here, and I loved the layout. I also really liked the building on the corner of the map.

There were a couple of problems I saw too though.
I thought the queue was pretty weak, it was short and the railings were too far from the path IMO.
The restaurant to the right of the entrance was a block.
And...you have to go through the restaurant to get to the bumper cars?

Layout is sloppy, foliage is sloppy, architecture is sloppy.

Good to see the bar being raised again for Designs...

Not really.

I don't know what it is about it, but the part between right after the cobra and the mid-run brakes just captures me. Other than that, I'd say this was about a 7.3/10 - good, but could be better with refinement.
