Well actually I am. It just so happens that Tussaud's is now owned by Merlin Entertainment. Hopefully that will be a little kinder to the spelling errors in my topics..!
Merlin Entertainment's Brookfield Lake
As I build every area, I'll post one screen of each. Ideally when the area is finished, but right now I have Forbidden Kingdom and the Entrance at about 60% each and Nemesis' area at about 50% (layout done, themeing/supports 1/3 done).
And just a note about how I'm building the park - it's really my favourite areas from all 3 UK Tussaud's blended into one, with me exaggerating here and coming up with my own ideas there.
--------------
Park Entrance
The park entrance was, in time, adapted from the original amusement park buildings. Last year the park constructed a KFC near the entrance on the border to the Forbidden Kingdom. This can be viewed, along with some other buildings, below. Just in the background you can see the start of the Nemesis: Revenge viewing platform.
--------------
Forbidden Kingdom
Forbidden Kingdom is an area heavily based on its sister area in C:WoA. It has its own Rameses Revenge top spin and an as yet unnamed dark ride, in which similar to the dark rides at Chessington and Alton, swings visitors round to face various targets that they must shoot. At the end of the ride the riders are ranked according to their accuracy. Next to the dark ride is Pharoah's Amusements, a circus show running daily for less adventurous guests.
Forbidden Kingdom also offers a full eatery and gaming arcade. Below is the (slightly unfinished) building housing the Pharoah's Amusements. This is actually just a corner of the dark ride's building - hence the blacked out section of the screen as I'm quite happy with how that's going and don't want to show it til release! Rameses' Revenge queue line runs around the ledge of the building.
----------------
Perhaps not the most adventurous screens for the time being, but it's all I want to reveal at the moment...Edited by deanosrs, 11 July 2007 - 03:58 PM.

I like the style you have here, and especially like the 2nd screen.. The first seems a little bland and unfinished.. The 2nd looks really amazing though; great theming, foliage, atmosphere, architecture and use of textures..
Keep going Deano!

Pretty nice but that top building in the first screen has too much red... red brick, red wood, red glass, red poles..... maybe make the sides of the rooves white or something... just needs a little accent (the white supports almost do the job.... not quite) -

I don't really like the first screen... but the second one is amazing.
(it doesn't look like it flows well from building to building) -

Elevated queue? I love that idea! But I don't think I would have known if you didn't mention it. Is there any way you can make that queue line look more like a path and less like a roof? Other than that its awesome though.Edited by ride_exchanger, 11 July 2007 - 09:55 PM.

Great work Deano and the second screen the the best of the two. As r_e stated, the elevated que needs something to help sell it. If this is a functioning que with real peeps, then no worries. If not, you may need something to help it.
Other than that. Great stuff!

Wow, I really like it.
Wasn't impressed by your prelims, but this looks pretty nice.
That darkride looks nice!
(interior theming? :] )
I'm not liking the glass towers at KFC though. They distract from the classic feel somehow.

Cheers for the comments so far guys. I appreciate what you all mean about the top screen, but if you could see more of the entrance area you'd get the atmosphere of it alot more, the KFC is kind of a standalone building anyway. I'm very pleased the 2nd screen seems to be quite popular, I worked off photos alot for that with a bit of my own inspiration and I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
The dark ride does have shit loads of themeing. I don't think dark rides are something that have been done particularly well in the past and I'm very happy with how it's going - cobras spit at the riders, at one point a snake will even eat themI'm having a lot of fun with the ride and the park in general.

The 2nd screen is really nice. I love all the details at the building. However I don't see how the dark path fits with the theme.
Keep going! -

^ The dark path is there simply because that's the nearest path to pretty much every bit of path in every Tussaud's park
I'm also bored at work. Here's the image the 2nd screen is kind of based onEdited by deanosrs, 12 July 2007 - 07:03 AM.

I don't like the foliage, it doesn't flow very well, if you understand...
everything else is very nice, I especially like the KFC building.
