(Archive) Advertising District / (hasnt got a name yet) but my new park

Hmmmm after viewing some of the parks on here I've decided that the two I have built originally werent up to much compared so have decided to start again with a new and more detailed approach. So I now present Fanfair Gardens (will problay be changed but will do for now).

It all started when I my old park Coal Mountian discovered that it had actually built the ride Oil Strike over a real oil source. This caused the immediate closure of the park and the construction of a rel Oil well to take advantage of this new income. My parks were neglected for a bit as I reaped in the cash form this new endevour but it wasnt long before I got bored of the sheer repetivness of the oil mining and missed all the fun of the theme parks so using the Oil well as a financial source I bought a large plot of very green as opposed to black land and begun planning my dream.

The planning also took me on tours of other parks created by like minded people and I realised something about them that was so much better than my previuos parks. This was the architecture and the detail and so I deemed to create a park worthy of visits form other like minded individuals.

Welcome to Fanfair Gardens!

So 3 years into the building work and despite a few hiccups which have waylaid us slightly the park entrance area is coming along fine and looks incredibly good compared to my older parks. I personally liked the architecture as it is clean clear and crisp and I reckon the colours work well together.

Here is a photo of the entrance so far (OOC: The trees surronding the area really have no purpose other than to mark of where I have built up to so far and will probaly go):



Here is a close up of the architecture of the front face on the entrance building and also the fountian (please take int o account I came up with the name as I was typing this hence the fact that the signs appear to call the park Park Name)




Well as for now that is the front area of the entrance finished work will begin on the rear and the small village to accompany it which will include:

-Terminal 1 for the monorail
-A gentle ride (probaly Caroseul named Dukes Horses)
-Maybe a hotel (Named Hotel Raydon)
-Obviously some shops

Hopefully I will finish these at a faster rate than the entrance was and will have screens for you to view soon.

this for me is just really, really tragic. that other park you posted looked really nice, in a refreshing way, now it seems you downloaded some parks from here and you're just trying to copy the style. My strong advice would be don't work off other people's parks, but photographs or an image in your imagination.

Having said that, for a first go at "NE style" I've seen far worse.

That is one big, beautiful entrance!

looks alright detail-wise, but listen to deanosrs and please get rid of the useless round roofing on top of the entrance building...
