I just found out about this band yesterday, and I'm already hooked. A friend of mine told me about them, so I decided to check them out. A Lesson in Romantics, their debut album, is IMO just amazing. I recommend it to anyone who's a fan of bands like Chiodos or Circa Survive.

Really good band, and the album's no different.

I checked out the song previews on iTunes and it sounded really nice... when I get the chance I think I'll go buy the album.

Their wordmark thing looks strangely familiar.

And not in a good way, either.

    Ouch...

I missed that, but even if part of their cover is a rip of MtM, I still like the music

Yeah, it does look like it, but MP did a way better job than LP did.

    blasphemy, surely.

They don't really sound like Chiodos nor Circa.

    But good band nontheless.

Nah, they lack the originality, edge and unpredictability of Chiodos.

    Anyway, listening to their myspace

Anyway, meh, they're ok. Tick all the boxes, lots of woahs, classic quite high voiced vocalist, references to lipstick and girls. Kinda what you'd expect judging by their (shocking) appearance, but there's just too many bands out there far too similar such as Madina Lake, Fallout Boy and a whole host I can't remember, for that exact reason.

Black Cats: Sounds like earlier Taking Back Sunday stuff but without the soaring vocals of Adam Lazarra, and a long while later...kinda been done. Kinda nostalgic for me, as Tell all Your Friends is one of my favourite albums...but it just isn't as good. Not bad song

When I got home... : The similarities between this and fallout boy are uncanny, though the vocalist is just a washed down version of Stump...abysmal lyrics, girls like boys and shit. Alright melody, though farely predictable

Jamie all over: More like the first song, and the same kinda thing applies. Though I swear there's a song very very very similar, or at least, with some exact same parts in it by another band at some point, can't put my finger on it.

Miserable at Best: Couldn't really bare this one...had to skip it.

As a plus, their album artwork is cool.

I dunno, it might actually be me, I see myself moving away from this sorta stuff these days and more into Drum and Bass and Ambient music, though there's always a place for my favourites ie. Funeral For A Friend (their older stuff being vastly superior to any of the "similar" stuff being churned out these days), Taking Back Sunday, UnderOath, Chiodos, LostProphets' older stuff, Saosin.

I checked out the song previews on iTunes and it sounded really nice... when I get the chance I think I'll go pirate the album.

where exactly did you get this hi-res cover btw?

I downloaded the album the other day, it's alright, nothing special.

But then again, there seems to be a lack of anything 'special' around nowadays.

    i listened some now.
have to agree it isn't soooo exciting. and i'm irritated by the not always solo vocalist.
so far the only song that appeals to me is the last one.
