Thanks Sparks! also I have never heard of the Westcot spire. Off to do some research! Thanks for the tips.

If you have any feedback on any of them let me know. I am still working on some others. Do you like any of them? I can't tell, also am trying to build a couple of my first CS pieces so we'll see how they turn out. Thanks

None of them are 'grand' enough to be the icon of a Disney Park, especially EPCOT.
  • wed10%s's Photo
Well I'm going to keep toying with them but I also am going to start working on building my first custom scenery sets which will be 8 pieces each one 7x7. I figure if I split the dome into 8 sections (4 top 4 bottom) And figuring that each land unit equals 10 feet It would be about 20 feet smaller than it's real life counterpart but that is okay. If anyone has any object editor tips let me know.

Yeh, get used to using the ones we have already before making your own

What do you mean? I was told that no one had ever made a SpaceShip Earth for RCT2

The WestCOT designs didn't have the spire sitting alone in a plaza. The surrounding buildings all jutted out from where the Spire was located. It was all one grand piece that worked to establish Future World.

Nobody has done one that has been publicly shown...

Thanks my Custom Scenery is coming along, one question how do you make things colorable? and are all large scenery objects rotatable? Thanks again.

All the scenery pieces should be rotatable. Any scenery that's colorable will have a paint can image next to it to change the color, if there is one. Good luck with this, I want to see another good Disney.

Epcot, huh? I considered doing an Epcot a while back, nothing ever got off the ground though. I actually thought that this park would be fairly easy to do, considering the fairly simple geometric shapes of most of the structures. I even tested ways to build Spaceship Earth, and they turned out pretty damn nice too. All I can say is good luck with this, and build the park how YOU want it. Evolve your style your way, and not anyone elses.

BTW, if you need any pictures of Epcot, shoot a PM my way. I should have what you're looking for, and if not, I can find it.
  • wed10%s's Photo
I might do that, anyways thanks. I really believe I am about 1-2 breaks away from having Spaceship Earth in RCT2. It's kind of got me preoccupied.
  • wed10%s's Photo
Well I have to start school so my RCT2 time will be even more limited. So I am just going to work on my Disneyland park and leave the Epcot idea for when I get there.

    Some notes:
The paint job is not finalised for the track deck and windows.

Also the deck is finished only for the portion of track around the building.

Also the canopy over the entrance pavillion is not constructed yet. It will resemble the real test Track.

This is much nicer now you are putting more work into it. If you want more posts I highy recommend putting up some finished screens with much more detail than what you have now. Don't post anything that only has a bare track with no scenery, unless its to emphasize something like showing off a new type of scenery or a ride type. Disney is known for detail, fit in as much scenery for that Disney look as possible if you want realism. Custom scenery is also a must on this site for any park. You have a lot of basic scenery that is featured in the game, I do see some cars and glass and things, try to add more of those, but go for Test Track scenery. I see much more potential in this more now that you have been building out. I hope to see more soon.

Alright thanks, I have quite a bit of custom scenery for the world showcase. Future World is mostly just building blocks and glass pieces.
