Everything is terrific except the purple trees, they're just too fantasy for me.
Layout's terriffic and I love the idea of a loop on a B&M flyer, that's great.

^ I'll agree on the purple trees. I do like the layout, however. It flows very well. If you're interested in making it more realistic, level it out and put a brake before the lifthill. All B&Ms do that for a very important reason. One other thing that I would suggest is replacing the cobblestone path that's raised off the ground with wood or something. It seems odd they would go to the trouble to build a wood structure and then lay out stones and everything on a raised platform. But anyway, the layout looks really nice so far. Nice job.
  • Camcorder22%s's Photo
Yeah maybe a red would work better to replace the purple trees because right now they really stand out when imo trees should kind of blend together. White and turqoiuise dont really seem to me as oriental colors which i suppose you were aiming for to some degree (rooves and purple trees) but it doesnt look that bad here. I also dont really like when a ride, station, and surroudings have all the same color scheme but i guess that is more a matter of opinion. Layout looks great however, I love the wide helixes and loop.

Glad you all like the coaster. As for the trees, they are meant to stand out, and this is meant to be fantasy, it's just that my past styles have all been realistic (to some extent) and that's sort of showing through. I will play around with the raised path and consider changing the color of the trees.

Not really true these days...see Hydra or Behemoth.

    Brake right before the lift.

    Behemoth:

Kicker wheels the whole way through which control the speed and make a brake unnecessary (although I can't tell if there are actually brakes on that).

I like the coaster and buildings. Fuschia trees are meh; I'd probably be okay if you left them in, but to make it easier on the eyes try something just a tad more intensely hued than the pink trees you have now.
Try eliminating the wooden supports under the path; it makes the park look temporary and thrown-together - it reminds the viewer of regular old scenario RCT and kind of kills the fantasy universe thing. Fill in the area with brick or some custom supports or something to make it look more permanent, perhaps?

Sorry I had a brain fart and thought you said after the lift hill. And I made you do all that work for nothing.

    ^Lol.

Hmm a B&M flyer with an actual loop in it...
    Creative.

    Hi!

I think the colours are a bit boring. You have a slightly overuse of that aqua-teal-colour-thingy. Maybe if the coaster has another colour, it would look a bit better.

the setting of the station with the water is very nice. very good idea.

    Agreed.

Looks realy good. (exepct for the purple trees which you already addressed)

Hows the speed on it? With that size lift hill, I would have concerns with the large vertical loop that late in the run.

    Keep it up

^lol... will get to you in a minute :p

Okay I will mess with some custom supporting for the path in front of the coaster, and the I am still working with the colors on the trees to see what looks good. To 5dave, I will consider messing with the coaster colors but the light and airy feeling I had going on seemed to work and the lighter blues carried that pretty well, although I had thought it was pushing the overuse line a bit. Will play around with that. To posix and ][ntamin, thanks, I thought so as well :p

Alright, RCTNW. As I said before, the area is meant to be fantasy, and that is mainly because of the coaster itself. The lift speed is set at 55mph and there is really only one lift segment on the entire lift hill - and that is just beyond that turn. It hits the top of the lift at around, I want to say, 8mph, and underground at the base of the large loop there are two more lift segments. So the speed is pretty normal for the pretzel loop and overbank, but the last half of the ride is rather wild :p

Alright I changed the color of the big trees but I couldn't find anything I liked better than the peach ones. I also changed the elevated path to wood but still considering which kind of wood I like. This one seemed to fit better than the others but I'll check on it again when I'm more coherrent tomorrow morning >.<

As for the coaster colors, if you guys want to suggest some color schemes for it, I'll try 'em out but the other lighter colors didn't seem to carry the theme as well.

Obviously I have yet to do the supports on the loop, but I need to wait until I have a computer that won't crash 8cars.

    I somehow like it.
You should try to varry with the ground textures underneath your foliage a bit
and you should place some bushes under the trees :)

Except for that it gives a nice feel to me :)
  • Sulakke%s's Photo
You forgot the tree under the 3D cinema. ;)

I really like the coaster. The lay-out is great and the landscaping gives a great feel to it. I dont really like the station though. It's a bit huge and a bit bare. I think you can easily put some more details in the building, espicially in the big pilars that are holding the roof up.
  • Ling%s's Photo
Fr3ak: I am still adding the grass/dirt texture sparsely and am considering making it just dirt along the water (maybe just dirt/grass). As for putting bushes under the trees, I need a computer that runs 8cars >.< If darkfire ever gets the RCT2 Codex working and released I could use that (because the LL Codex runs on Vista, but 4cars, 8cars, and the Beast trainers do not) but until then I can only do it like once every time I turn on my laptop. Thanks for the comment :)

Sulakke: Yeah my bad I'll get that >.< Like I told Fr3ak, I need to wait until I have a computer that runs 8cars before I can do anything like that :/ I have wanted to go back and do that though.
