Theme Park Discussion / CP - opening day

My friends and I are thinking of going to Cedar Point this weekend...which I think is opening day. Is this a good idea, since it's early and may and nobody will want to go, or a terrible idea, since it's opening day and will be swarmed?

It will be busy, but not extremely busy. The ride operations won't be as good as they will be later in the season. Opening day is always a good day to go regardless of the crowds because it's just good to be back.
