sounded pretty bad after the first listen, but i will give it another listen later this week.

I thought Weekend In The City sounded bad after the first listen, how wrong I was.

I have ordered the CD and the MP3, as I want both. Thankyou very much for this.

^yeah, i did, too. so far i'm only on Mercury, which i've already heard, but Ares was a big change. regardless, the instrumentals are amazing, it's the singing that's a problem for me.

EDIT: Halo is classic Bloc Party brilliance, though.

I'm not paying $10 for this. I disliked A Weekend In The City, so I may give this a shot if I download it for free somewhere first.

honestly, it'd be a thousand times better if they left off Ares and Mercury. they completely kill the album. everything else is pure genius.

What! This is a scam. Why pay $20 for a digital AND hardcopy when you can just throw the songs on your computer when you get the CD. You're just paying $10 to hear it a month early. This a rip off, someone send it to me illegally. I will wait until October for my own.

im gonna wait until october too, but im trying not to give it much of a listen till then so i can get a better experience. their drummer is amazing, no question about that, but vocally i've never been a fan of them. so we'll see how it is.

Well yeah. If you are going to go the route of Radiohead with the "charge for the leak," at least make it affordable. I'd say 5$ is the most I would ever pay for a leak. Shit. Bloc Party could afford to do a "pay what you want" style, too. Oh well.

Possibly my favorite band ever. love Weekend in the City, but personally, i enjoyed Silent Alarm better! if you havnt heard it GO GET IT! 'This Modern Love' is my favorite of all there songs.

I grabbed a copy. I don't know why you are all hating up on the first two tracks. I think Ares is brilliant.

well, i like it, i can just see how others wouldn't, and i like most of the other songs better.

so far, Better Than Heaven is my favorite track. that may change, though.
