Rick Wright, one of the founding members of Pink Floyd, died early today. A great musician has been lost.

We'll see you on the dark side of the moon, Rick.

I certainly feel for his family here, after seeing people go quickly from cancer. It also rips me up because he's arguably the most important person in creating Pink Floyd's signature textured sound with his beautiful organ, keyboard, and piano work as well as his backing vocals (which mix perfectly with David's). Thanks Rick, for a lifetime of stunning music.

Agreed. Waters may have been the mastermind of writing, but Rick's keyboards really created the atmosphere on most every song, even when he was just in the background such as the entire 'Animals' album.
