This band, and the hobby of playing music, is the primary reason I've slowly drifted out of rct over the years... What actually has killed it (mostly) is college, but that's a whole different story.

We finally bit the bullet and spent $40 per hour for 2 10-hour long days in a studio (with an engineer, that's $800 if you're not into math) and recorded a proper 4-song EP. There are LOTS of compromises.

There's always the inevitable question of genre... We're a rock band, with surf, power pop, shoegaze, psychedelic, thrash (drums) and various other influences. As always you're best off just listening to 30 seconds of at least a couple of the songs to get a feel for whether or not you'd care for it. I play guitar, sing backing/harmony vocals, and write/composed on all of it. Hope there'll be no need to be harsh in your reviews (we realize it's it's not perfect. Tempo's drift and small mistakes were left in, there was time and a budget to keep), but I'm certainly open to any useful criticism you might have.

I like it a lot, Jon. Front Page is a little meh, for me. Doesn't seem to fit with the other songs. Sounds like some generic/lame/boring punk song to me. American Dream though I liked, and think I'd like to see your songs heading more into that direction (the same with Broken Glass). But I think the intro for Broken Glass should lose the distortion on the guitar; the song itself has the makings of being mildly epic with a great build up into that heavier ending. In the ending I'd just find an alternative to that bit with the palm-muting. Bought and Sold is also awesome, and it's going into that direction that I was talking about earlier: Catchy, a great riff, and fun. And the guitar solo sounds excellent.

ps, i like the band name! ;D

Really liked Front Page and Bought & Sold. The others not so much. But phenominal stuff overall.
