First off... it's been awhile. Hows everyone doing? But anyways.. I've started a new park about a month or two ago. I have not yet posted anything on it, well... that's because I'm known for getting bored very quickly and not finishing my parks. lol. But this one I'm very happy with the way it is turning out. But as for my question..
I'm having some coaster support, and building/shop troubles. EX: When I build a shop then Zero Clearance (Absolute) say to put a window above a path. Then restore Clearances, most of my walls are now still able to build through. And not just the shop I was building. My coaster supports are glitching and able to build through. What am I doing wrong? Please help me guys.
Glad to be back,
-Nitrous Oxide
EDIT: I done some searching and noticed a few other people that have had the same problem. Does anyone have 8Cars v.1.302 they could send me... -

Glad you got it figured out.
For anybodies future reference, I use sob v1.0 to zero clearances, and 8 cars 1.302 to restore. Kumba recommended doing this, back when I was having some glitch issues.(thanks kumba)
I find this works really well.. -

I have similar issues that Nitrous posted about, but unfortunately the suggestion of using the 2 trainers together isn't doing it for me.
My example: I am in scenario editor mode. I used zero clearance on SOB1.0 trainer to use diagonal fencing. I try to use 8 Cars 1.302 to "restore clearances" but it doesn't do anything. Now I can't turn off the zero clearance mode because as far as I can see, SOB1.0 doesn't have a restore clearance feature in it, not to mention the fact that 8 Cars zero clearance and restore clearance features do not work (for me at least).
Even worse, when I move the screen around, things like buildings I've made, gardens, etc. get all chopped up.
Here's some screens to show what I'm talking about. The first one shows how it should be (zoomed out). Second screen shows some choppiness as I zoom in. Third screen shows how bad it gets at maximum zoom.
Any help is appreciated.

your running vista?
if so set your theme to windows classic
reboot. first start rct2 and than start the 8cars trainer.
now restore clearence should work.
if you still want a nice skin on vista I advice you download UXTheme for vista and find a nice custom skin. they dont seem to bug the trainers.
also make sure you are using this version of the 8cars trainer there seems to be a false version somewhere. -

Unfortunately it didn't work. Zero clearance is still on.
Does it matter I am doing it in scenario editor mode?
Perhaps I should open up a saved game file, turn on zero clearance, then restore it, then go back to the landscape file?Edited by thirstydeer, 26 March 2009 - 12:34 AM.

at least tell us how u did it incase it happens to us.
Cheers
In my original post I said I was using 8 Cars v1.302. I was wrong. I was using v1.32. Talking to someone it was suggested I revert back to 1.302. Upon getting that, I went into the game and then tried restore clearances... worked like a charm. -

I'm having the exact same issue on Vista, but I'm using the correct version of 8 cars.. I tried to use sob but it starts and then hangs there and then it crashes...
Am I doomed? -

From the circle of friends I have, the overall opinion is that only use SOB if you absolutely have to. Otherwise, stick with 8 Cars. -

like I said already, make sure your UAC is shut down and no program is blocking it.
make sure rct2 has visual thems disabled
make sure rct2 is runing in compatability mode XP SP2
if it still doesn't work set your theme to windows classic and reboot and than try it (while your theme still is on windows classic).
