So I go RCT Deluxe... Is there no trainer/patch that works with this version of the game? Cause I can't load parks if I mess with em with Beast Trainer and it occasionally freezes up.

    Oh shit.. Tony... nice.

RCT Deluxe is a joke. None of the patches work so you can't open up the good ol' parks using Drexler and what not. You just gotta torrent the originals (like I did, after I bought Deluxe cause I'm not buying the game for a third time).

Just gotta go to a certain pirate place, and look for a file called Roller_Coaster_Tycoon_Original_Corkscrew_Follies_Loopy_Landsca, that one works just fine.

Just gotta make it an ISO image then burn it to a cd-rom.

Just had to... But really, I've looked and can't find a brand new RCT and or LL disc anywhere online. They're always near new and what not, and while my LL cd lasted up until last year (having it from the day it came out), I'm kinda cheap with the game with it being out this long.

^I had to buy a used one and it has worked for me, and now I just no cd it so that's also something you can do.

My original rollercoaster tycoon cd was lent to a second cousin when I was little and he lost it. So I haven't seen that one for ages :p. But my LL is all fine as well as my added attractions one :p. I personally find it incredibly stupid that Loopy Landscapes has Added Attractions on it, makes it a complete rip off for those who bought the first expansion >_>.

Eh... I dunno if you were around back when CF/AA and/or LL came out but I think they were only 25-30, which wasn't that much to ask a parent to buy you at the time, lol. It's not like we knew LL was coming out at the time CF/AA came out either. So in my eyes, it was worth it. Had we not have bought as many copies of CF/AA, who knows if LL would ever have came out.

When LL came out, I ended up giving my cf/aa disk to a cousin. I wonder if he still has it, I want it back for nostalgia reasons.
  • Xcoaster%s's Photo
Also, they had something with LL that if you sent in your CF/AA proof of purchase, they'd send you a check as compensation for ripping you off. Not that it was really a rip off, since CF was the better expansion pack, and they had every right to not even include it with LL.

Well I didn't so much as mean a rip off but it is kind of stupid... They could have made more money if people had to buy both...

And of course I was around! Been playing the game since it came out :p. (Wasn't around the community until 2002/2003 though)

Did anybody (besides me) ever buy the strategy guide book for rct? It was the one that was released when cf/aa was released. I'll have to find mine, I can't remember the exact name..

I've actually been through a couple of originals on my LL disc. I ended up copying the latest original to another CD and have been using that when I want to play RCT1. Didn't have any copy protection on the disc at that time.

    @ Tony
Looks like you might have actually buy another LL disc if you can find it.
