Spotify on the PC. Although it's connected up to our home audio system, more than enough watts for good sound.

I use mediamonkey, my pc is connected to (a pretty old) stereo with two boxes. Seems pretty nice.

My mp3 player, really nice 15gig philips ipod clone from 8 years ago.. was stolen with my jacket. I go around the world without music now, and am enjoying it quite a lot. I meet more new people on the streets, see more acquaintances, and actually enjoy my surroundings. When I get home I enjoy putting on music more. Have almost not missed it, since I know it was for the better.

    Damn Ipod generation.

itunes w/ headphones through my M-Audio MobilePre preamp.
i use it mainly for recording, but its used as an external sound card, and the headphone jack is easier to reach.

i typically listen to most of my music in my car from my ipod adapter.

my ipod is the new classic, with 120 gb of space.
so far i've only filled up 32 gigs, which is about 5200 songs and 15 or so videos.

i love my ipod to death:]]]

hell yeah In:Cities i have the same iPod and i love it too.
  • In:Cities%s's Photo
    lol yeah dude:]
its such a lifesaver in school and on long trips.

i wonder if i'll ever be able to fill it up completely

i use my phone for portable music.
    cause im a poor person.
i spend all the money i get on guitar things.
  • In:Cities%s's Photo
    what do you play?
    acoustic or electric?
  • SSSammy%s's Photo
    Both.
im a latin acoustic kinda guy.
and im no fan of les pauls haha. although i have a copy from when i liked My Chemical Romance like 3 years ago. ¬_¬
    £185 then....
    im gonna ebay it though.

    do you play?
  • In:Cities%s's Photo
ooh latin acoustic stuff is wicked bro.
my cousin is insanely good at it, but i never really picked it up.
i love listening to it, and respect it a good deal, but i've never really tried playing it too much.

i've played since i was about 10, so its been about 8 years or so that i've been playing.
i typically play my electric (Schecter C1 classic), but when i give lessons (gotta make some cash somehow lol), i use my acoustic.
my style is somewhat varied, being that i can play pretty much anything, and havent been stuck just on one particular style.
i try to stay as versatile as possible.
i dont read sheet music, but chord charts are no problem.
and i always play and learn by ear lol.
    always have:]

over these past few years, i've really been focusing on audio engineering and recording arts, and have recorded hundreds of songs at my cheap little home studio lol.
maybe later on i'll start a topic with some new stuff i'm working on atm:]

ahh sorry for getting off topic:/
    music is my first love:0

yeah dude start up a topic. love to hear some of your stuff.

i've been toying with the idea of starting something similar myself in the past few months, but haven't gotten around to it. plus i'm not very good at guitar yet (only been playing for a year).
  • In:Cities%s's Photo
    alright:]
i'm finishing up a demo now actually, so it might be up in a few days possibly?
i just quit my band a couple weeks ago, and now, it has freed me up to write music with no limitations.
for instance, when i was with my old band, they were decent musicians, but very inexperienced. the only people with 5+ years of experience on their instrument were me and my bassist (who quit along with me lol)
but everytime i would write a song or scratch track for the band, i would feel so limited, because i had to write stuff that the band would be able to play.
now that i'm free from it, i feel so much more open to write stuff that comes from me, and nobody else.

it kindof runs along the lines of post-hardcore/ambient/experimental stuff, but its a bit more smooth and melodic.
i'm doing vocals as well, which probably isnt a great thing;]

make the the topic open ended, so i can put my stuff up aswell :p
im (musically,) pretty much like you. i have no distinct genre.
i cant read sheet music, (although im gonnqa have to learn cause im doing composingCW in music right now) ive always played by ear too.
i started at seven years old, so that means ive been playing... nine years :D
haha. ive just started a band not too long ago, but we need a bassist. :(
  • In:Cities%s's Photo
lol i was planning on making it like that:]

but yeah bro, its so hard to get a band together these days.
its virtually impossible to get that perfect mix of guys with the same beliefs and goals and musical maturity.

ahh sorry for getting off topic:/
    continue with it now ha
