I fucking love this music, an judging by the 'What are you listening to right now' topic no one else seems too.

Is anyone else a fan of the harder styles talk in here and say who you whos the best DJ's you've seen or your favourite producers.

BEST SETS I'VE SEEN
ALEX KIDD (nothing, an i mean nothing will beat that set)
PROMO - hell of an opener an got harder each track
THE PROPHET v HEADHUNTERZ - pure scantraxx glorY.
TOMMYKNOCKER - arrived with Twist playing, was thhe best.
NEOPHYTE - the king of hardcore for sure
HIXXY - I heard a decent hardcore set, none of that happy shit
WEAVER (AU) - his Utopia Homegrown (Sydney) set was incredible .is up there with the Kidd. (youtube it)
4STRINGS - WOW!!!! not my music but loved it
LAB4 - it's Lab4... need I say more...insane hard dance cudnt get off dance floor lol
ANGERFIST - most insane opener ever. Waited 8hours to see him cos he was late lol but totally worth it.

EXACTLY what i thought.

I sorta started with that stuff but then worked my way backwards until I found that I like a lot of the electronica from the early 90s and even late 80s better. I prefer the hardcore/acid trance styles and the more mellow house tunes being released back then. Around 1998 or so the whole "anthem" trance scene took over and imo always feels a bit samey with less character and depth than older stuff.

since the list of artists would stretch a mile long I figure I'll just list some of the record labels I've found the most good songs on... if you search for them on youtube you should come up with a huge amount of songs to check out

-Le Petite Prince
-Hard Hands

If pressed I guess I'd say Microwave Prince, Virtual Symmetry, early Underworld (Lemon Interupt anyone??) and Hardfloor would be my all time favorite artists but really it can vary greatly
