Music Forum / iTunes 9.0

Has anyone else downloaded it yet? What are your thoughts?

I for one am very disappointed. There are a few cool new features that either weren't there or I didn't know about before, such as marking items to go into a wishlist, but overall I really hate the new iTunes.

I use the "Grid" option for my library, and the new background for this is a rather bright white. It hurts my eyes to look at and takes away from the album artwork filling each row. The older, darker style black was much more pleasing and easy to look at. Additionally, the new iTunes Store is very confusing now. The layout was overhauled completely and I find it really hard to navigate. It took me about 5 minutes just to find out how to Music > Power Search.

I'm thinking about downgrading to iTunes 8.0 again if I can figure out how. Anyone agree? Disagree? All discussion here please.

i was considering downloading 9, but after reading this, along with several other bad reviews of it, i think i'll reconsider and stick with 8:]

apple just needs to ge back to the basics with itunes and stop trying to change every little thing.

I just stick with the oldest one that I can still update my iPod with, so right now I'm on 7.0
I don't like dealing with newer stuff and I'm used to this one so I probably won't upgrade until I get a new iPod and need to.

I see nothing wrong with iTunes 9. The drummer in our band has been complaining, but really, I see no vast differences to iTunes 8 except a few new (mostly useless) features, a bit of a newer look, and the overhauled iTunes Store. I think the iTunes Store is much easier to navigate now too, actually. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the new cost of newer songs. $1.29? Are they out of their mind?

basically if you're happy with itunes 8, there is no need to upgrade. i did just because i like to keep things interesting. aha.

Yeah that new price is crazy. Good thing my iTunes days have been done for a long time now

I didn't even know I had updated to version 9, but apparently I have.

I don't feel like upgrading until they decide to allow skins.

(yes, I'm aware that there are 3rd party programs that allow this, but none of them seem to work on my computer.)
