(Archive) Advertising District / New RCTLL Project

My last project fell through as I lost interest with the park. Have a search through this forum if you want to have a peek!

Anyway, this is my new RCTLL project and I've got to a point where I feel there is something to show.

The park is intended to be a theme park, with defined areas themed to a specific theme. It is also intended to be a fairly realistic park on a budget, so the themeing is there, just that it isn't as blatantly obvious as Universal or Disney. Think, Alton Towers or Europa Park.

So far, I have what is the basis of the entrance area and what is starting to turn into a wild west/mine town style area. I have also started on a Mayan ruin style area but I haven't got far enough on that to have anything to show.

Anyway, have a look at the piccies and let me know what you think. Remember, it's a work in progress so plenty might change yet.






Also, 1000 internets goes to the person who can correctly guess which original RCT Scenario I have used for the basis of the landscape.

Windows will appear eventually. Pretty much last actually. I want the layout of the park and rides finished first.

I don't do LL for parkmaking so I don't know what is considered "good", but what pretty screens.

As for being good for LL? I don't know. I've been out of the game for so long (my park making "heyday" would have been between 1999 - 2003. This work is far better (IMO) than what I produced then so I'm pretty pleased with it

Neither Barron Bridge or Mel's World! It's quite tricky actually. I don't recognise the scenario any more. Especially not from the screenshots.

I have pretty much finished the entrance area, although I'm sure bits here and there will change. Here are a few more piccies of what I've been up to. Also a picture of the woodie.






Just to add (as it has been mentioned) that the buildings will have windows eventually. I know they look empty as they are now. I am just getting the layout and general feel right before I make the finishing touches

I've been working a little more, just before I go off to bed.

Done a bit more work on the entrance area and made a good and proper start on the Mayan style area. Second coaster of the park is in and pretty much finished. It might need a little tweek though as it gets a bit too slow towards the end.

Man, I love the old school vibe coming from all those screens. I love the new one especially, thought you forgot 2 fence pieces on the far side of that bridge.
