Good thing no one was seriously hurt, they probably didn't even see it coming when it broke. -

I heard his left leg was severed and cut pretty bad and taken to hospital, pretty bad... -

In the video he was just like "What the FUCK just happened?"
If I got MY legs severed up I'd be like "Holy mother FUCKER my leg is FUCKING dangling off to the side, this FUCKING HURTS!"

I'm guessing it's not so much the severity of the injury that caused this type of reaction... rather the surprise of the whole thing. Once a small cut or scratch bleeds, the wind would have started to smear the blood around, making the wound look worse than it might have been. I might have acted the same way, given the surprise of the situation, not being able to reach down and have a look, etc.. I'm betting most people would have reacted the same way, being strapped in and not being able to escape a ride that had just broke and was smoking.... not to mention the dude getting hit in the head, and bleeding. -

I dunno... Toward the end of the video, the kid looks like he's screaming, "Holy fuck!"
I find it odd though, it looks like the guy on the right got hit in the face, and he's fine.
EDIT: And why was there a video camera on the ride?Edited by FullMetal, 01 October 2009 - 10:03 PM.

There's cameras to record on-ride videos. Most of the major coasters at Knotts have this feature.
