General Chat / POKEMON LEAFGREEN PLAYTHROUGH!

Im about to start a Leagreen Playthrough on my Channel, not a walkthrough by the way.
a walkthrough teaches you how to get through the game, i myself ave never completed it, cause i lost interest when i started to play Pearl again.


so yeah, go guys choose any pokemon from the origional 151 for me to use, and ill see if im gonna use it!

Starmie

those are the only three i want to use, but you know, i could be linient.
you guys have any suggestions for the last 3 ?

i dont want to use gyaridos, cause everyone uses him, everyone uses either raichu or jolteon too, and really, alot of people use pidgeot.

Tauros and Bruce lee are good suggestions though

im naming all the characters after my friends aswell. aught to be fun.

You want a dream team for LG, or do you want a utility team to get you through the game? 'Cuz I can give you both. For a price...

Oh, and Top Gun, not many people use those pokemon because they generally suck. Especially Arbok. Poison is like, the worst type in the game. The ever popular psychics can crush them, and Poison types don't really have good stats.

Electabuzz and Magmar are okay, but their not the best of their type. I'd take Ninetales over Arcanine, but that's just a personal preference. And Rapidash over either of those.

Lickitung is just plain awful. Like Arbok.

Marowak is pretty good, for a pure ground type. I think he'd be better if he had a ghost type though.

Fighting is a good type to have, but I think it can be combined with water to provide a good mix. Poliwrath will destroy Bruno in the E4, if you pick the right moves.

Fearow > Pigeot. 'Nuf said.

I generally don't like Water/Flying types like Gyarados or the second gen Mantine. They're just too weak to widely used electric types. And Gyarados is a bit lacking in the water department anyway...

Voltorb/Electrode is another bad one. Go with Magneton. The added steel type makes Magneton very resiliant. And if I remember correctly, Magnemites can have the Levitate ability, which would make them immune to ground moves (which would otherwise destroy them).

Charizard is a good choice, but I prefer Venusaur. That's just me, though. Venusaur has the best special attack, which is what a starter is all about, I think. However, if you can get your hands on the pure grass Meganium...

Starmie is another good choice. Water and psychic make a good pair.

Hopefully you find this useful. My super-team will remain a secret, though...

gyarados is probably the most powerful non uber water type in the game, so that was tripe.

who are you to say those pokemon suck? ive used these pokemon and got along fine. its all about tactical play, not about leaving your poison type in agaimnst a fucking psychic type in the first place.

Underused is where its at. Voltorb is fucking awesome in the anime, and im gonna make him awesome in the game.

You have Paras, so you've already won, basically. The whole premise of the pokemon games should be to obtain a Paras.
