(Archive) Advertising District / Cyder Hill Theme Park

Hey everyone!
This is the park i started after HTTP and it's off to a great start. The mainstreets nearly done and so is the Asia area so i'll leave with you 2 pics of the beautiful Chinese area.

Here we see the architectual style i'm aiming for:


Here's the turn taken at approx. 80kph on the Intamin AG Wooden coaster, Ancient Warrior:

Stagger your buildings a bit. Straight lines are ugly.

That said, that pagoda is fucking win.

i feel that \all the texture in the screens are coming from them custom rooves.
screen 1 is really boring
screen 2 is really impressive.

change the roofs to like a redish colour in the 2nd screen.
then i would love it.

Wow, cool start. The coaster's themeing looks great.

I'm with nokia on this one change those roofs in the second screen or you'll have a brown-overkill-zone

Its a very good start. Only problem I see is the coaster is dull brown and so are some of your buildings. Change the buildings so the colours are more visually appealing then it will be really good.

Good job, bud. But maybe get more creative with the architecture and add more variety?

I agree with the things said above. The second screen is great and probably would be even better if you make the pagoda's walls white instead of brown, right now it blends.

What scenery did u use for the supports of the coaster in the 1st picture?

I'll have to agree with the pagodas roof it does blend in with the surroundings too much. I'll experiment a bit with that. In the 1st screen does anyone have suggestioons for any different chinese roofs? I couldn't find any.

Just make em like I did in Ryu and Hebi you don't need any sci roofs for it so its handy to make it like that

In the first screen, I think it's safe to say that buildings in a row while being on flat ground MAKES it boring and not exciting for anyone to look at. The wooden coaster completely DOMINATES those buildings as well. Do something about that.

In the second screen, taking the same type of tree and coloring it three different ways does NOT make it Asian. That being said at least the coaster looks great with the placement of the Padoga.

For some reason your use of texture really stands out to me in these two screens in a positive way.

^^ I'm sorry but i think your wrong, i never saidt the trees were asian... There resemble Japanses blossom trees. Why does a flat face make it boring I mean seriously, its not boring to look at, its just a straight line, calm down man. No need to jump the gun and be the best builder ever. Also if its so boring why do you look at it? Answer that question

i actually somewhat agree about the trees.
there doesnt need to be 3 different colors.

however, each of the three colors you picked are good choices.
but if i were you man, i would probably pick on of the three and just stick with that.

personally, i prefer the purplish ones, but its all up to you:]

either way, this looks pretty nice so far dude.

I look at it because I know you will be able to improve it. It's called constructive critizism for a reason, to help guide you through improving. If you don't want my help with improving it, don't take my advice. It's your park so if you think it looks good than great! However you're posting pictures of an incomplete park, it's going to get evaluated by members of these forums and we are going to post our thoughts whether we like it or we don't like it.

I know what criticism is, by the way why is it bad that a coaster completely dominates an area, thats what i was aiming for. Coasters are the main part of a park, what do you think it is?
