Theme Park Discussion / Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

I went to Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Williamsburg this past Saturday and thought I would share a few of my photos. It was great to see the park in a different way than I've ever seen it before. The odd part was that San Marco is not on the park map or was ever in the media to be open, but it was. It wasn't decorated like the rest of the park and the Italian restaurant was closed but you could ride the Battering ram and the Flying Machine. Here are my pictures:

is the park just opened for a few rides and the holiday theming or are all the coasters/attractions (aside from obviously water rides) still running? Either way, I will say the Christmas theming is beautiful.

All coasters openned, not sure about mini rides.

Really? According to the website when I last checked it was only going to be Griffon and a few other rides (DarKastle, Corkscrew Hill, and smaller stuff). But I guess they did have Italy somewhat open (despite what the map showed), and I think they extended the hours, so they may have extended the rides too. I was interested in going, but I didn't have time, and I wasn't too excited about the ride selection anyway.

No. Only Griffon is open for roller coasters. Most of the other rides were open to include Darcastle, Corkscrew Hill, the train (not the skyride though), all the rides in Germany were open, and the two I pictured above in San Marco.

darn. and i thought there was an actaul reason to go there in the winter too. griffon the dumbest coaster in my book. realistically, the G-Force of little ol' big bad is whats to fear. new rides tend to be most reliable. yep im pretty the opossite of most poeple. everyone says- "yeah griffon rocks!" they only say that out of ignorance cuz they have never ridden Volcano @ Kings Dominion. Now, that is worth the wait! no freaking chain AND longer ride.. i preffer apollos when it come to Busch gardens. Though i still dream of goin to cedar point!
