    Amazing as always, bro

That is one of the best entrances I've ever seen, I can picture myself being there. RCT3 always blows my mind, I find it too hard to use personally but you seem to know what you're doing.

im glad to see that me, MF72, and CD5 are not the only ones in the world that see the true potential in RCT3

    take notes fraroc.

    holy crap this is incredible.
screen 5 is my favorite by far though.

it looks like a photograph lol

Absolute quality, possibly the closest RCT gets to real life?

    Great screens!

It looks nice but as with all rct3 projects that look good i hate the screens. Theres always far to much camera/photoshop trickery. I want to see what the park and the rides actually look like not low shots with HDR bloom or night shots where i can see nothing.
The same goes with construction screens. Im never going to be able to view this in game with my current pc so id actually like to see the park rather than a low angle shot of a crane and a piece of track.
If we could get some regular screens (no night, rain, fog, low angle) id appreciate it

    heres some examples :

    Bad

    Good
After a quick browse of the atari forums i cant find any

^ I see what you are talking about. However, RCT3 has different concept than RCT2.. While RCT2 only has four angles, RCT3 has no limits which allow us to take more realistic pictures (I'm not putting down RCT2 because RCT2 also has many unique features that RCT3 cannot describe). In my opinion, RCT3 is made to be more realistic and that is why many RCT3 players take pictures like mine and those examples you posted. I know that you are RCT2 park maker and not really familiar with RCT3 style screens, but it is way it is and how most RCT3 players do. Also, I think my pictures show my park well. I don't really take pictures that show only little parts of the ride or park. But, I will use less photoshop effects next time.

    (Sorry, my english isn't great..)

I understand that rct3 allows more flexibility in screen taking and would love for free view in rct2. Id just like to see more of the park from further away so i can see full area of path/coaster layouts and how they interact with themeing/terrain/architecture.
The thing is when viewing rct screens im trying to judge what i see from a park design perspective, and criticise in order to improve them. But with rct3 screens i feel like im criticising photography trickery, not park design and thus feel like im viewing something which probably isn't as good as it looks in the screens.
I think your screens look great but they look very similar to other rct3 projects because of how your taking the screens

I see what you mean RRP, although it's pretty hard to resist the desire to find cool camera angles when you've got everything in 3D and you can actually put the camera wherever you want. One of the things I find most interesting about RCT3 actually is that sometimes the quality of the park isn't that important. Just like our style of parkmaking took RCT and RCT2 quite a ways away from the original scenario playing it was intended for, the presentation of the videos and screenshots -- how people tell a story or create a cool mood with them -- is a lot of the point here. That's what a lot of people have made that game about and I think it's pretty cool personally. It's definitely a lot different, but I don't think it's any more or less valid. Whatever gets your creative juices flowing you know?

And if you think about it, RCT3 is not going to look as good as RCT2 or even LL from a static tableau perspective. The art in those games is all pre-rendered and meant to look good from four discrete angles. So the creativity here at NE is in taking those static images and mixing them together in a beautiful way. And then on top of that taking the animations of rides and coasters and using that to give your static masterpieces the illusion of motion. But with RCT3, even if everything looks a little more blocky and cartoony to facilitate faster loading -- you can see it from any angle. The water effects, lighting effects, and continuous terrain maps are the best graphical elements of the game. So you really want to take advantage of those cinematic qualities. Put a nice red and purple sunrise over a lake with a simple coaster zipping by and you've got a Rembrandt. A masterpiece. It still takes a certain amount of talent to arrange trees and bushes and terrain in a way that looks realistic and compliments the built-in lighting effects. I find myself more impressed by RCT3 screens than anything else lately for that reason. The parkmaking may not be elite level in every case (though a lot of it is pretty darn good) -- but people are really taking advantage of the dynamic lighting to create textures and moods that just aren't possible in the other games. It's something new anyway. That's how I look at it.

But I will admit I'm with you for sure on the photoshop trickery. People use the same sorts of effects over and over again and it gets a little old. I don't see that in most of the images you linked to though. I just see a lot of camera placement that doesn't emphasize the actual park but instead tries to express a mood or emotion.

Oh, and I didn't see NGT's post before mine, but he basically said the same things I did. Excellent screens by the way. That park looks gorgeous. You really should check out the link RRP. He's got a lot more screens there that show the park in normal lighting.

Ed..sorry to minimize your thoughts into a "byte" but, this sums up my disdain for 3 in a fashion that most can read through without losing interest.

"Holy Pop Tarts in a pencil sharpener!" You must be running RCT3 on a super computer! The quality of those screens is amazing! Seriously, which graphics card do you have? I want it.

And there's nothing wrong with that. I understand that point of view. Maybe that's why RCT3 never really took off here at NE. I really like the RCT3 stuff, but I like it for a completely different reason than I like the other games -- I think the virtual photography and filmmaking stuff is actually pretty cool.

The park looks beautiful. Looks abit empty, though. Still have plans on using the space left for like, say, a themed area or more rides? It would be interesting to see what your skills are like outside the realm of theming around large coasters. :)
